Sitting at a rest area kinda by Bismarck, has enough room for about 4 trucks, but these f'n knobs have a out 1/2 truck length between there trucks taking up all 4 spots with three trucks, all three Canadians.... Enough said. Speaking of cold, found the limit of my diesel coolant heater, was -20 on Sunday morning, fired up the coolant heater for about 3 hours before I tried to start the truck, block was warm to the touch, was showing 55 degrees Celsius on the gauge for the coolant heater. Truck did not want to start, before I tried to start it I had to add oil that was sitting in my sleeper box, it was like pouring lucas crap out of the oil jug, so oil was probably the same in the pan or worse, did end up getting her started but had to crank alot more than I liked, also gelled up afterwards, even with filter heaters on the whole time it was warming up and about 1 hours before starting it, was about 30% #1 mix in the tanks, had to run into town and grab some 911 and change my filters but went down the road fine after that.

Ugh. You and @cke the same. Reminds me of a few winters past - yes, the block heaters have their limits.

I'm going to Alda,NE with a fuel tank - I only signed up for it AFTER checking the weather, probably head home after that and call it a year. It's supposed to be 60 degrees in SWMO on Saturday - I'll take it.

Not much I find enjoyable about extreme temperatures the older I get.

That's a first here. Sitting here sipping coffee and emergency alerts start going off 80-100mph wind coming seek shelter.
@Oxbow @tramm01 @Big Road Skateboard top of Lewiston grade just had a 91mph gust.

Palouse winds? I remember as a kid delivering newspapers in 70+ mph winds in Moscow.

45 degrees, calm and just a rare light rain here so far, but we have wind warnings for later in the day. It sure has been a nice mild non-winter so far!
