I just started with them this week.It takes about 4-6 weeks after the interview before everything is done and they start you. Be prepared to answer a bunch of questions during the interview and they will give you a simple math test to see if you can count. Depenging on the number of people they are interviewing it could take a week or more before you know that they are going to proceed with you. I would call after a week just to touch base with them. If they call you back for a second interview then you proably have the job if all your references check out. During this interview you will fill out a pile of paperwork and they will send you for a drug screen and physical.
The final step will be the road test where you do a thorough pre trip and hook up a set of doubles and do about a 20 mile road test. If all goes well a few days later you will be called in to sign the employment offer letter and have your picture taken for your i.d. badge and set up a start date.
Good luck and keep us informed. If you have any more questions I will be happy to answer them for you. Chris. -
Thank you for the information , and will definately keep updates on my progress.

Bigron and Chris, What did u all apply for? City, or linehaul driver? I have never pulled doubles b4, how is that going to work out?? I am studying now for my Haz and Dou/Tri Endorsements
-
I applied for city but linehaul pays better, as far as doubles its takes some getting use to as far as hooking them up but fedex has some of the lightest dollies i ever dealt with. I pulled a set today for my road test, also u can go to www.christcdl.com for the all cdl test goodluck. oh if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Bigron, I appreciate the info man. I'm with Celadon now...they are cool peeps. Been with them since Dec 07'. I'm just getting tired of the OTR lifestyle man, I want 2 be # home a lil bit more. I live in Little Rock, and according to the Fed Ex website, they are needing a city driver, and they have an opening for a driver apprentice. I prolly need to go for the apprentice.....I don't have the slightest clue how to hook up, and deal with the doubles. Are u going to be home e're night w/linehaul, or u don't know yet? Good Luck with em kid~
