So, because you don't agree with Injun you decide to personally insult her by insinuating she's cheating on her logs? Oh and insinuating she desires a collision. She talked about companies and you tried to make it into personal insults.

Not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. Facts are facts. The poster was quite clear with her opposition to the programs mentioned. Electronic logs, in my opinion asnd that of others, are easier to use and with that, the only reason I would want to get back to paper would be if I "needed" to. I don't believe my previous comment suggested anyone was guilty of fudging logs. RE the lane diversion and collision avoidance systems: I have them in my truck and I guess I just don't hear them much. The only reason they sound an alert or send information to Prime is if the driving warrants it. One could only then assume if one is complaining about the "noise" then one might have to change his or her driving habbits. Chill Nana. Just making reasonable and justifiable comments with regard to safety and legal issues.

"Chill Nana"??? Did you actually say that? When I expressed my opinion you actually got so rude as to tell me to "CHILL"? I wasn't upset in the least, I merely expressed my opinion. I think it's a real shame that a woman expressing her opinion throws you into such panic that you insult one and tell the other to "chill".

I've always thought better of you.......I must have been wrong.

If a driver needs or is given an audible warning that they are drifting to one side or another, OR the computer slows you down because you are tailgating, and this is causing said driver frustration.....i think it shows that there is an unsafe driver behind the wheel. If you are fully awake, and are having problems with pacing yourself, passing and/or keeping your rig in your own lane, you either just dont care (i.e. have that "Wendy's attitude") and/or are an unsafe/lazy driver.

Drive for Prime (Please Remember I Morgaged Everything) and run 58 in a 65. Cannot tell you how many PRIME drivers I pass everyday in a Swift 62 mph truck. And yet there are some out there who say "driving 62 is unsafe when the flow of traffic is going 70"

That's it. You got it. Another happy Prime driver.

    4) re you not liking the lane diversion and collision avoidance systems.......sounds like you SHOULD be working for Swift.
i drive for swift if your a good driver for swift or prime and continously watching both mirrors like we are taught to then why do we need those devices. i know it helps but it seems like to me if the driver is doing his job then who needs them. i dont want to step on anyboby toes just my two cents

Like to see a few of the EXPERTS do a trip in a tractor with the ELECTRONIC DEVICES and see how they set them off.

I wouldn't like them because beeping warnings of any kind distract me from the road. QC beeps used to drive me nuts. I don't want to hear anything other than low air/oil/coolant warnings out of my truck. Enough of my brain remains functional that I can see whether I'm in the lane or not.

same how i dont like on most roads in missouri, the rumble strips on the right hand side are the same distance away as the white line (most give you a few inches before they cut in the rumble strips). And for me, when i'm being passed by another driver, i ALWAYS run with my right hand side along that white line. Why? I'm sure of my training, i'm just unsure about theirs.

That noise all day would bother me. However as an alternative I would be agreeable to wear an electric dog collar that would send Taser powered jolts into my neck whenever I drifted onto the white line trying to avoid gators and ladders in the roadway. Maybe some electric bracelets and anklets too which would zap me whenever my hands were not exactly at the 9 and 3 position including while shifting gears. The anklets would zap to let me know when to use the brakes. Perhaps and anal probe taser that I would sit on while driving and when following too close sends an electric shock up my spine - even during those times when Mr. Innocent Moron cuts in front of my truck. Oh and those EKG sticky wires pasted to my nipples to shock me when I go .0000001 mile per hour over the speed limit going down a bunny slope.
