What must you have said to this guy to have him jump up and want to clock you? He must have felt threatened by your worldly knowledge.

Dude hopefully you will do better at the new company, but you should not come back to this thread, you are not making any friends here.

I see it this way. TD started this thread as to his own experience and has been attacked. I would be interested in hearing more about bad trainers and less attacks on TD. YES he made a mistake and might need to look in the mirror, but the attacks on him are useless it is the internet and an open forum. I would say if you don't like what is here then move on. Just my 2 cents. We all make mistakes but enough is enough with the attacks back and forth all that is happening is adding fuel to the fire. TD already knows he messed up we all don't know his personal issues at home. All I know is ready a month or so ago he has a newborn maybe his mind was too concentrated on home instead of truck, which can be bad but could we all just lay off already. This is a great forum with a wealth of information lets move on and help others that need helping.

Be safe out there everyone and thanks for letting me add my 2 cents.

    Yeah, do the math.

    1. It was a team truck. Team trucks run (on average) 5000 miles a week (sometimes more).
    2. There are 72 weeks in 18 months.
    3. 5000mi x 72weeks = 360,000mi (Well, I'll be darn. Would ya look at that??)
    4. 6000mi x 72weeks = 432,000mi (WOW!!!!)

You are?? That's interesting!! You couldn't keep your mouth shut long enough to get past the third week of training. :biggrin_25523:

I'm a company driver, not lease. And I'm on par to make the mid-40k range. First full year as a solo driver. I have a nice truck, equipped with an APU, pulling some of the newest trailers any company owns. I'm sure getting the shaft alright.

Once again, you missed the point completely. You think Prime is so evil and you're going to find this great company that meets all your expectations. You're in for a big wakeup call.

And thank you. This has been one of the most entertaining threads I've seen on this board! I keep coming back and there's always 2 pages more!:biggrin_2559:

The trainers are in it for the $$$.

Most all of us are. Quite a few lucky ones are out here because they love it. A very few even luckier ones are out here doing it as a hobby.

I asked before why do you care if the trainer is using your miles to make more money while you get your training. I read into your post that you would prefer more intensive personalized training. In another post which backs this up a mention of being able to sleep in a parked truck (truck is operated as a solo operation for the benefit of the student not the benefit of the trainer's bank account).

I'm trying to help you but I can only use what you give me. So I'm seeing a theme here where you really want the personalized one on one training which is fine. The one time the trainer was up front with you while you were up on the curb, he was doing his job. He may have yelled at you to stop in a way that offended you but that is that man's truck, business, livelihood.

In other posts I've picked up on a theme where you are very sure of your driving skills and your determination is so high I'm left very confused by the dichotomy.

    Dichotomy: di·chot·o·my   [dahy-kot-uh-mee]
    -noun, plural -mies.

division into two mutually exclusive, opposed, or contradictory groups: a dichotomy between thought and action.

That's for the rest of you. I, of course, knew what it meant.

Pssst! Thanks for the new word Scottie. Shhhhhhhh.
