I was thru there a few weeks ago. Saw this sign, and wasn't sure if it was ment to be funny, or if they were serious. Maybe that sign should have been put out on the street for the motoring public.....HAHHAHAH

I had the same thought when I was through there a couple of months ago!!!

BTW... did you get any explanation as to why they say not to turn right out of the yard? I asked and got the response... "just go left".

It's not a truck route. It may seem like it but if you were to turn right out of there and go a few miles you'd get hung up on a gnarly right turn on skinny city streets trying to get back to the interstate which is very much closer if you go left then left again.

my guess is you heard "turn left out of the yard" and thought, "gee...think i'm going to turn right", and found out the hard way........yes or no?

usually whenever i go to a termainl or shipper/drop i've never been to before, and the route i took in was truck approved, and i could easily get back to the interstate, i sure as HELLo wouldn't use a "hey, lets try this" truck route. those seldom work, specially when you're totally unfamiliar with the area....

Once again flaunting you ignorance. Basically the same sign pulling out of SE Freightways in Antioch TN. Which is also a Swift drop yard. Guess you haven't been there "King Richard.":biggrin_25514:

ignorance? about what? i'm ignorant about a sign? OOhhhh...another terminal has "basicly" the same sign (by your own admission its not), so thus i'm ignorant? I've not been to every terminal/drop yard in our system...so........i'm ignorant? LOL......you actually wasted time to post that???

what was it you said about opening your mouth and looking like a fool??

Ok, lets STOP the name calling and act like adults in here, or another one will be closed, and further actions will follow.

Yeah, I agree, we'll have to start doing a few infractions and then ban people if this don't stop.

Well of course I went Right... The P/U was in town about 2 miles away and my Mentor "Insisted" I turn Right. I didn't make it as far as the tight turn but maybe next time I will look for it... I love a challenge. LOL
