I might actually be the only acception to that rule...or one of the few...

And I can't explain why...it's a perceptiveness that was put in me, do to my young years, and who I was raised around...

I was raised around everyone, all types, so i don't just see the world from one view point.

It has to start at a young age...and at the age of 5 and 6 and 7, I was allowed and invited into homes of people, whom I'd never be allowed or invited in today...

But as a child, it really did leave impressions...

I know, saw, see, how people really are, when their not 'fearful'...

But at the same time, the fact that I don't just identify with any one type of person or peoples...
Opens me up to much isolation...

I've learned, people don't want you to 'understand others'...instead they want you to
    'be on their side'...

Not everyone sets out to be 'fair'...

If you play for a sports team...say the LA Lakers, they don't want you to be 'fair' and sympathetic to the Miami Heat...rather they want you to simply 'win'...

And people, groups, ethnicities, and religions, are the same way...

I have seen inside the souls of man, and therefore I know what's there...

I have seen the frailties, the vunerabilities, and other things that motivate
    certain behavior...

Nothing is new under the sun...

I understand why some choose to not like you, and why some people actually
don't want you to 'be like them'...

Their actually more comfortable maintaining 'distinctions' between themselves and said other. It's those distinctions, that helps give them their identity...

And it's based on a flawed equation, that can never be 'whole' or solved, based on our
    own subsitance....

Man, on his own, will never be able to solve it, nor does he really want to...

Protius, the computer from two posts ago, pretty much summed it up...amazing...

And now the Jets and Steelers are about to play...

    I'm totally nuetral here...

Emotionally I would like to see the Jets make it in...just cause of all the stuff they've been through this year...and cause I kinda like their ####y head coach...Rex Ryan...

The reality TV show, the whole footfetish inncident, the dismantling of the Patriots last week...

I just think it would be a good finish to a exciting year, if the Jets could make it to the superbowel...

    Jets and Green Bay...

Yes...that's the drama I want to see...so go Jets...

I'm torn here...The Steelers lead the league over all in Super bowel wins...Dallas is second...

But this year...the Jets are like 'Americas Team'...well more like they are the NFL version of the 'Sopranos'...

Drama, sex, scandal, passion...the Jets have it all...and I'd love to see them top it off with a Superbowel win just intro...

There's really no story or rivalry between Green Bay and Pittsburg...

    No scandals, no good stories...hmm...

If the Jets don't get in, I doubt I'll even listen or watch...

But right now Steelers lead 7-0 over the jets...:biggrin_2557:

Come on Jets...turn on the turbos already...

    Ok, so the Steelers won...

I have no emotional connection to that team...

I had a connection with the old team from the 70's...when they had that rivalry with Dallas...

But the new Steelers of today...I feel no connection...and not really crazy about the QB....

I just know he had a bad, near career ending motorcycle accident a few years ago...
And was later accused of 'sexual deviant behavior' towards a woman...

But he follows a long list...here are the following celebraty males who have been simularily accused of such...

    1. Arnold Swchartinegger

    2. Michael Irving (Dallas)

    3. Brett Farves

    4. Mike Tyson

    5. Tupac Shakur

    6. Bill Clinton

    7. Al Gore

    8. Mel Gibson

    9. Kobe Bryant (eagle rock CO)

    10. Tiger Woods

So the Steelers quarter back is not alone in that aspect...

Ok, let's see here...Steelers or Green Bay???

I see more of a story with Green Bay...

Green Bays more a national media magnet...with Brett Farves getting the boot and all...and now his young apprentice taking the team all the way...

It makes management look 'smart' and Brett seem 'selfish'...

The steelers are just a wall of Steel...with no particular interesting stories...

They're just like a defensive wall of Steel...like a army tank...

Their good, but they just bore me...

Totally 'blue collar'...gritty, and get the job done...

Every team I wanted to win this year, got eliminated, even down to the last two...

Seems if you bet against yourself, you'll do well....

I mean since most people seem to 'loose' all the time...just bet against yourself...and maybe you'll start winning...

    Anyways...I've been re-employed...
    but things are slow...

One thing since being off work from driving...

I eat much better...(I never eat out now)...

Let me continue this on the next post...

I never eat out anymore...never...can't stand it...junk food that is...

I just think of all the pounds of junk food I stuffed down my throat over the years while driving...

I won't even eat Taco Bell anymore...

When you start eating healthy food, by comparision, even Taco Bell food seems unhealthy...or cheap...

I'll never be 100% junk food free...but I'm just saying...being at home now it's easier for me to go buy some raw liver and cook it up with onions...

This meal here, I can put together for less than $5.00...

Or lamb meat...recently I've discovered how delicious lamb meat is...

    "eat more chicken...."

Ok, that's enough out of you little lamb....

Anyways...back to what I was saying...

I eat a lot more salad now, fish...fruit...all the stuff I had limited access to while on the road...

And it just feels good knowing you can eat for healthier, and for less...much less...

I don't even eat potato chips anymore...I was shoving that crap down my throat too...

When you drive for long hours, you just seem to eat out of 'boredom'...not really cause your hungry, but more out of recreation...

The fast food places are still packed to capacity here though...even though the people going there live and work locally...

Ok, if you live and work locally, how can you justify scarfing this stuff down??

And junk food actually cost more than healthy food...

Again..a hamburger and fries meal...now cost around 5-6 dollars...

And you can put together a very delicious me of steamed fish, and potato salad at the grocery store for less or about the same...

Where I stay they will steam fillet of fish for free...
So if you find a strip for say 2.50, they'll steam it for free...

And no coke, carbonayted, bone destroying substance...instead juice or water or lemonade...

Being unemployed and worrying about bills had me stressing for a while...
But eating right, helped my body deal with it...

On the road, you often stress...and then eat junk food...bad combo...

You don't, won't realize how your killing yourself with that junk, until
you start eating right again...then you'll loose your desire for any fast food...

Even Arby's...and you begin to see how your waisting your money on paste...

But the fast food industry still continues to thrive...

Unfortunatly when driving over the road...people, drivers, don't always have the time or spirit to search out better meal alternatives...

I guess Subways ok...I hated them while over the road...

But actually, that's the only fast food place I'll eat from now...

I just got phycologically burned out from seeing them everywhere out there and begin to associate them with other stuff...

Anyhow...just thought I'd drop in real quick...

I'm glad you found employment. Both teams have been rock solid. Huge experience edge to the Steelers. So I'll pull for the underdog Packers. Have the Steelers ever lost a Super Bowl?

No, come to think of it...I don't think they have....

As a driver...I've driven through there at least a dozen times or so...

But think i've only had to deliver within the city limits once or twice...

Pittsburg is an odd city...the location that is...

If you've ever been there you know what I mean...

It's like built on mountains...very steep mountains...there's really hardly no flat spots in that city...at least from the interstate or other main roads...

In the summer, Pittsburg is, in my opinion, visually one to the most beautiful cities in America...all the trees...broad leaf trees...

The trees almost hide the city from a distance...

But in the winter time...all those steep hills can really come back to haunt residents, or those doing deliveries...

It's one of those cities I've driven too, made a few deliveries in, but never have I hung out there...

As a otr driver...there's many cities you may pass through several times a week or deliver too, but in 5-10 years, you never get to see or visit the city from a different angle...

And some times you get turned off by cities, do to your expereince there as a driver...

But as a tourist in a car...the city will reveal a whole different face...

Anyhow...I'm just not much of a Steeler fan anymore...

I think I lean more towards the Pirates (their baseball team) than I do the Steelers...

Oh well...may the best team win...

I spent Sept. '09-Dec. '09 working in the Pittsburgh area. My nephew's best friend (Steve Pearce) and former high school teammate plays for the Pirates from time to time. He's been called up and down several times. He was doing ok last year and then went down with a knee problem.
