Is the .05 per mile less just for owner/op mentors or is that for company mentors also now? When I was a company mentor a few years back they never did that to me. If they are now with company ones that is kind of screwed up.

its for both company and L/Os. The 11k mi/mo benchmark is just for the L/Os........................................i think. =)

Is this something new? When Tom was company and a mentor, he never had five cpm taken out of his pay. This five cents used to be strictly for the L/O mentors. Why? I don't know. You'd think since the L/O's are saving the company tons of $$ in overhead, they'd be a little more charitable to the L/O's. But hey, it's not my company.

I think they do charge the 5 cents to the company mentor just they don't know it as Swift doesn't tell them their pay could be 5 cents higher.

My team partner is a former mentor and he called Phoenix the other day to find out where the 5 cents goes. The answer was to pay the student's workmans comp and SDI. Teammate says student is not my employee-- he is a Swift employee. Now the answer changed to "it's (the 5 cents) is tied to fuel surcharge". My teammate went off on the phone but luckily the call got dropped between ElPaso and New Mexico before he could really blow up and lose his job.

Is your team partner a L/O, or a former L/O who had mentored? They used to charge the L/O .05 cpm while they trained the student. I can only assume they still do. Who did your partner talk to? What title did they hold?

Who told your partner that it was to pay for the student's worker's comp/SDI? Now if your partner was a L/O and had his own employees, he did need to pay for their worker's com/SDI, at least that's the way the contract used to read, I don't know what, if anything, has changed in the last two years.

i signed a lease with them (swift) twice in 3 months i did 2600 miles i complained an got no wheres.i asked to train an was headed that way then they put a load on me when they knew i was short on time, they said they would relay it if i took it.well i took it an they could not find a relay so they hit me with a service failure. an i lost my training status for 30 days.try as i might they would not remove it an my miles did not improve after venting my dislike for this action an asking them to get my miles up so i could make more money.well that didn't happen either.finally i had enough told them i was turning the truck in.the day i handed them the keys in greer sc i was told it would be reported to the collection agency as a default in the loan.after a heated discussion they said read your contract.well i did an it stated as they said .an i told them i was rushed thru the signing of my contract an that was not brought to my attn at the signing.all because the person wanted to leave at 5 pm to go home.i have a 125,000 judgment against me so i am trying to find a lawyer to fight this.SO DONT SIGN IF THEY ARE RUSHING YOU THRU A LEASE CONTRACT.

contract also says that, at your request, they are to report ontime payments to the credit bureau. did you do that? Also, how old are ya? I know you've gotta be an adult.....and most adults know, an important decision such as signing a lease on ANYTHING, you know better to take the time and WEEEEED the contract.

you didn't, you didnt get the miles because you obviously had a DM that totally SUCKED. and you didnt do anything to change THAT relationship. My first step would have been to talk to your DM. if things didnt change, change DMs....if that dont help get miles, i'd change terminals, and go thru a couple DMs in that terminal.

    the miles are there pally.

you signed a lease with them twice? Whats that saying, "...fool me once shame on you....fool me twice........."
