When there is 40-60 people waiting at a terminal for trucks? Maybe not. Maybe it is a way of the DM in Cali to keep you rolling?

    You never know!

I almost had to go home when I went solo. Then a guy was put on safety hold and they tossed me his keys! Had the same truck ever since.

The hometime policy is to pay you so little you cannot afford to go home for a single day.

it's good to hear that swift is all over the road with this.
used to be that i would set my hometime two weeks out then just let them get me home whenever. my new rule now is set hometime two weeks out, then start declining preplans for hometime one week before hometime. that means one week of going where they tell me, then one week of going where i say. if i only get 48 hours at home before losing my tractor, then by god i am going to make noise about how long i'm out.
i thought swift cared about employee retention for a while there. looks like going public changed all that.

Do we all work for the same company?....I have never heard of or been told I would lose my sled for taking home time....maybe an extented leave for a week or so "might" create a situation. Sounds like some peeps are on the edge with the company and said company is looking to help you find a calling in life that you may be better suited for....just sayin'

Hamdude some people got the message that NO GPS's were allowed in the trucks. Depends on what terminal you are from. I've never got that one. My former mentor did. He is a L/O and said something about fish heads and rice. :)
