knight will come out of it ok--maybe a bit porer but that is all-unfortunately--
most trucking companys of any size have a few different lawsuits going on at any given time--most are maybe a bit frivolous, some have merit--but this one---unless it is a comedy of errors ,then knight should be hit good and hard for their blatent disregard of the law and procedures

    Pretty grusome, eh?

... and all Knight can think of doing is trying to cover it up.

I think the judge did the only right thing in forcing Knight to not only stipulate their driver hit the victim, but cause his death as well.

I suspect the reason those QC messages were deleted and falsified was that they knew the driver was illegal before the incident. Not only that, but he was encouraged, maybe even coerced into it. What an incredibly sordid picture this paints.

The Knight Owners better Bend over by the time the Jury get done with them. Any Punitive Damages with this Statue IIRC are Triple whaty the Compenstory are. Then if they are in the Commision of a crime and they can Argue that here it is 10X what the Jury awards. Sorry have a buddy that is a lawyer called him up and asked. So the Jury awards her 10 million the Punitive could hit 300 Million. The widows laywers hit the Goldmine is what he said he read it as I was waiting on Hold. He also told me that no insurance company will pay a freaking Dime to cover the costs based on what Kinght did in this case. All this money will have to come from the Stockholders.

A simple truck driving job and stockholders for a publicly traded company never end with the driver earning a decent living for a hard days work. Even without major F-ups like this. The driver will pay for this, every last dime of it.
