Just got off the phone with the guy filling in for my FM this week and next. I got the message to call the 866 number, but it just rang and went busy. So I called him and he said that the goal was to get the OTR drivers home every other week, and get them more miles. The regional guys would get the short runs and be home every weekend...

We'll see, but I am thinking of trying the regional deal, and letting you guys know how it goes, since there isn't anyone on here that has tried it, or wants to be the guinea pig. That and considering I sit every weekend, might as well sit at home.

I told my old fleet manager that I wanted to try Regional, but he's no longer with the company as of... last week. Not sure if this new temp fleet manager has all that information or not, I'm sure he does but who knows.

If you call the number now it will ring a few times and play the message, when they first sent the message on the QC it was a company wide message and I'm sure it was flooded with calls.

Some of they key points I got from the phone call from what I remember anyways..

Hometime will be on the weekends - but thats not saying its ONLY on the weekends, we can have a couple days during the week as well (which is what I usually do anyways).

Regional will be routed about 500 mile radius of the house and be home almost every weekend.

OTR will run nation wide (like now).

I still don't know 100% what I want to do other then I am going to be finding another job by the end of August :).

I listened to the message today too. The president sounded sincere and all but I am willing to bet he is shielded from the day to day stuff and he is unaware. Mass people are pouring out of the company right now. Too much delay, the qc change has been a mess and now the radical home time changes.

My fm told me to stay over the road and he would take care of what home time I needed. I'm a single dad and I have to be home from time to time and 2 days don't get it.

Yeah, I'm not sure... Mine was alright for the most part, biggest complaint was he was very forgetful. I would assume he never wrote anything down and that is kind of a big problem I guess. We have butt-heads a few times haha, but usually worked out in the end.
