Lounge rats FOS? Never. I wouldn't believe some of them if they told me the sun rises in the East. Anyway, at the Grants Petro as the wife likes Iron Skillet. Gonna be in Fontucky Monday and as soon as I hit the yard after the drop I go on safety hold for the BIT inspection. I got 5 days notice this time.

:biggrin_2551:Um, Belchertown, Gay Head, just to start. Then there are the other smaller places down here on Cape Cod like ... Bass Hole. So, all is not lost on Massachusetts other than the logic behind requiring a CDL to be two years old, with verifiable logs and a letter from all the carriers you worked for just to transfer the GD license ... but I digress.:biggrin_25525:

AZS: That taco wagon next door to the pilot makes an excellent carne-asada burrito. Salsa and escabecho are in the cooler doors all the way on the right.

I didn't make it back to the "barn" tonight. Too many traffic lights, two-lane winding roads and I had to stop at the Petro earlier and get an air filter. Among other things. So I ran out of my 14. These guys are cool about delivering an empty trailer back to the yard. Just get it there with no damage and on time to pick up your next round...and life is good. As long as the stores all get their stuff on time, everybody is happy. You can spend the night on the moon with their trailer for all they care.

    AZS Thanks this.

####, I love Carne Asada, looks like I might be here for another day too. this place has alot of action if you park with bobtails in front, police, border patrol, tons of people. Never seen a busier pilot.

I meant to say she was in the shop because her truck wasn't pulling and jakes weren't performing up to productive levels.

TV, I think she meant the large kind that would be permanently mounted to the wall or something. APU, evidently IEL will not allow their truck to be cut up.

If you're where I think you're at, that is a good gig. Go out, deliver your multi stop loads, camp out on the road (truck stops, home, rest areas whatever) come back to the barn, get preplanned on another round of deliveries and do it again-- sorta dedicated but not....

    Injun Thanks this.

Scottie, I am surprised that the shop would even look at it. If it is new, and there is the warranty, I am surprised that they did not send her to KW. My last company truck, when I was having issues with the check engine light, the shop in Menesha would not even hook up the computer to find out why. Told that due to the warranty. I do know that the cummins mechanic in Denver will hook up the computer and turn the truck up to specs on the HP.

Still here at the Quality Inn in Goodyear. What a step up from the Premeir Inn, and less price. CDL rate $49. There is about 40 spaces for truck and trailer here. They even advertise largest truck parking area in PHX. Alot within walking distance. IHOP, Waffle House, and real nice place in front, and breakfast is just not continental, actuall bacon and eggs. Also a nice lounge. Oh, it is about 8 miles from the terminal. Wal-Mart is about 3 blocks away, and you can b/t there and if hyou have a trailer, they do not mind you dropping it here and just b/t all around. Rooms have fridge and micro. Laundry is cheaper than the t/s. Now hope that can get the truck out of KW in the morning, then can get something that can del on Weds, and salvage this week, like about a 1200 to 1500 that can del or drop. BTW, 2 hrs detention on Smiths Drug. for Scottie and Injun, today when I left Wal-Mart, accross the street was a pet clinic and pet grooming shop
