I pull tankers for Prime, They pay .40cpm, all food grade, nice equipment. You would still have to go out with a trainer though if you've never pulled tanks before.

I,m going back pulling a tanker, I might have to move to the Chicago land area,to get with one of the better co.s. The last time I pulled a tanker was 07, but I have 8 years exp. with tankers, including super tankers.

Any updates Groundpounder? I went with Martin Transport and couldn't be happier. They are looking for drivers big time and only require 1 year exp. You'd be out with a trainer but they put you in a hotel every night that you're with one. None of their trucks have 2 beds.

PM me if you want more info.

Drivenaway is giving you 100% accurate info. I guarantee it.

One way to get tank time is to find a smaller, local outfit to work for. Even though the pays typically sucks, you get home a lot and can save all the increasing road expenses.

One example would be to work for a construction company pulling their water tankers (tractor-trailer).

I applied with their local outfit Kenan Advantage Group for a local gas hauling job. Really good place to work but hard to get on with from what I've heard from other guys I know around. I'm considering Transport Service if its offered if the local gig doesn't come through.
