The flatbed division was bought by Calex a few years ago. The drivers are all on dedicated runs and have been there for a number of years. You need to live in Georgia or Tn. They very rarely have a need for flatbed drivers. I do know that all the flatbed runs are done by solo drivers. With that being said, they did put a new driver on a few weeks ago. Call into safety and ask for Mort. He'll have all the info you will need.

    Thanks for the info...appreciate it.

We are finding that most FB Co's are solo, we did run team for one but the miles were so bad that we barely survived...~lol~

    Thanks again

Well finally. I got the phone call from our shop in Pittston around 4:30 today that my truck is finished. I was going to leave tonight and drive 5 hours then get a motel and finish it up by noon. Instead, I took my wife out to dinner and will leave at 5am and get there around 2. I'll drop all my stuff off at my truck, run the car back over to Hertz, then have them take me back to my truck. I still have the load that I picked up last Tuesday in Greenville sitting at the Volvo dealer in Spartanburg. I figure after 8 days being late what's a few extra hours going to do.

I have a question if you don't mind..? I see that you needed truck repairs and that you got a rental car. Is the cost of the rental car covered by the company or does that come out of your own pocket..? am just curious as some companies will cover an expense like that when you are broke down and others don't.

Glad to hear that your truck is back up and running...

Well it won't fit in the Coast (smaller) trucks, as our fridge is only 11 inches wide. Think the shop would let me take the passenger seat out?

I remember someone saying we could use Love's but that we are locked out of pilots and flying j's. There aren't very many truck stops between fargo and north bend and most of them are pilot/flying j.

    Johnboy...
So sorry to hear about your truck problems. On the upside the new engines were built from the ground up for this emissions crap. Everything 2004 to 2010 just had all kinds of equipment added on to make it work. I have I hope to the new engines will run so much better without all these problems.
