C'mon man! WTH! Hey, I'll trade you a new motor for your lawnmower and a new in the box Millivanilli greatest hit CD.
-
Dang! I just went and bought a new 46" Husquavarna! What can we trade for the Millivanilli?
Is that the " Vaniili Unplugged?"
-
Na, it's the original All or Nothing album. I'll trade it for a half eaten candy bar.
-
Hmmm...any restrictions on who ate the other half?

Well, here I am back in Greer, and no truck. My DM has talked with the equipment guy here yesterday and today, and they still are not prepared. I'm going to a hotel tonight. Supposedly, I will be reimbursed for the cost.

It's looking more and more to me like this Family Plan is a disaster.
(Add) The concept wasn't bad. The execution bombed. -
Maybe the family plan works fine, I don't know. I'm just an ordinary OTR driver who likes to take a week off every two months in the summertime. They are always more than happy to take my truck when I turn it in, then when I come back they act like I just popped up out of nowhere asking for a truck. The attitude is always "well you're not one of OUR drivers, so why should we care?"
P.S. I'm in a smoking room- gag. I wonder if they reimburse pain and suffering for the headache that's bound to come

When you do this, (going into a non home terminal) what do you think would happen if you didn't tell them you're on hometime? Like just pull into the terminal (maybe take out everything just in case) then just take off for a week. I'm really wondering if anyone would notice. I mean are they still being really strict on the 3 days max hometime now? Seems like they come out hard and heavy with new rules, then they kinda fade away when no one enforces them.
The reason I say take your stuff out 'just in case' is because I saw in a terminal recently a forklift holding a large box up to the passenger door of a truck while somebody was inside throwing everything from inside the truck (personal belongings of the driver) into said box with with extreme prejudice. Meanwhile two 'office types' in khakis and loafers with clipboards to make it 'official' were standing nearby while this was going on. I imagine the driver had been fired. Maybe took 4 days off or was on bereavement leave. My gut says fired though.
