I have confirmed for sure they are doing this! Tweeted the Crete twitter acct, and got the message 'moving towards dedicated dispatch very soon' . I talked to another driver who was in Lincoln recently, he said he was told Jan.

Maybe wishfull thinking, but wouldn't it be an improvement if they also went to some sort of preplanning on loads too? I mean, that would explain the new info we have to put in on our load calls... Or maybe it's too much to ask, I should be happy with getting rid of the zone dispatch(unless I get either a newbie dispatcher, or a Cory clone that I can't get along with...but hey, I'm easy to get along with...just do it my way )

 

If you get Cory, you know that they want you to leave...kinda a subtle hint without them actually asking.

 

I heard this same single dispatcher rumor from a Crete buddy of mine today too.

With my luck I would get Darla and spend all of my Western Region position time in Missouri again.....

I also heard a rumor, but I can't confirm....I heard that they shut down the Wilmer sleep scam lab due to a pending lawsuit brought by a couple Crete drivers who did what I threatened to do if they ever sent me there...the driver I talked to said they went to an outside sleep study center and were cleared after Cretes clinic said they had apnea...again, just a rumor from another driver, no official word from High Command(like they'd tell us news like that). He said that they are still doing it in New Kingstown...for now.

 

I was in Wilmer last Tuesday night & there was at least one driver waiting to do the sleep test.

 

Another Crete driver friend of mine was sent home with her machine for 30 days. she was not allowed to return to work until the machine had that many nights of usage on it. Had to turn in her truck too. Now she is ready to come back. I bet they make it #### hard on her just because they can.
