Moving companies seem to have some of the best lease purchase programs. There's one here that will sell you a nice w900 for whatever the current value is. The lease is straight percentage of whatever you run. If you make nothing for a week for whatever reason, your payment is a percentage of $0, so no payment that week. Pretty good deal if you can deal with moving everything in a house over and over.

well keep your head up I do know all companys have people with felons driving for them, they are known as the ones who cant take loads to canada. However there are alot of ####### that have CDL's and if they can do it anyone can. Its going to be a rocky road for you for a long time but if you keep showing positivaty after being shot down so much someone will see it.

look to oilfield, or logging, off highway work. just go to an oil town and knock on doors. oilfield typically hires 95% off of walk-ins. don't just look for driving jobs, there are plenty of entry positions as general labor, where as long as you can drive a car you're GTG. then work your way into a driving job as you prove yourself to them. BTW there is no highway job that pays as well as oilfield, and no highway job that gives you the kind of guaranteed days off. Granted I'm from Canada but typically guys work 15 days on 6 off. for double or triple what I made running doubles long haul. I'd rather try jail than longhaul. good luck

I was looking around in Canada's craigslist for the oilfield jobs. Didn't know which city was closest to the action. Please advise and if u know any that hire entry level CDL Grads, please advise as well. Thanks

unfortunately unless you are a Canadian resident your chances are about as good as me getting a job in the USA. 0000 trucking is considered unskilled labor and both govt's think they have plenty of that at home. you could try Alaska

Since you are going into welding let me put an idea in your head. A few weeks ago, someone came by my house. He was an out of work welder with a torch on the back of his pickup truck. For $200 per unit he would build me an air conditioner cage that would keep my a/c units from being stolen. I bought two. He sold 10 right in our neighborhood. It took him an hour to build my two cages. The material couldn't have cost too much. He measured, cut, welded, ground, spray painted and it was all down.

In conversation, I was asking him about how business was. He told me that he was making 5-10 per day.

    big_rig_ambition Thanks this.
