Sounds like you are just stressed out, usually there is something you can "change" to improve your situation. Things are changing, we have to adjust and change with them, trucking 101. Everything looks bad when it's bad for you.

2100 miles at $1.44 a mile should gross you $3024 bucks. Approximately $1200 bucks in fuel for that week and we'll say $700 bucks truck payment including all the insurance stuff should net you a gross check of about $1125 bucks.

What else is going on-- do you have a another loan through Swift that they are deducting from your settlements? Are you getting less than 7 miles per gallon? Are you buying all your fuel in the 'cheap' states then being hit up for hundreds of dollars for fuel tax at the end of the month?

If one or more of these things are happening, that is not Swift's fault. You may recall when you signed your lease, taking a CABs course on how to successfully run your show. You can still go back to the swiftowner website and take the course again if you have forgotten some of the things that will help you survive the lease program.

Most people who fail at Swift like to play the blame game rather than take personal responsibility for their failure. Swift is your customer, it behooves you to refrain from maintaining an adversarial relationship with them.

Freight is MOVING right now. Talk to your fleet or terminal manager if things do not improve this week with a new DM...

Dedicated drivers can't compare their situation to otr. Otr really suck, dedicated loads are better expecially if you run out loaded come back mt and still get pay loaded miles. Otr right now I wouldn't recomend, try get on dedicated walmart, jc penny etc, I'm otr and I'm getting off pretty soon, I feel the same way sometimes, you run get to an area and get stuck thedre, . At least if you dedicated on an account like the ones I list if you get back to the warehouse and the have nothing for you to haul (which I don't think happen to offen if at all) you go home, you won't be stuck spending money on road, (food, fuel-idling to stay warm etc) if I was u I would be looking for one of those accounts. I don't live in a location to get on one of those that's why I am moving soon.
