Anyone else stuck in marrietta waiting on a load?

 

This is true. Not because I really wanted to though. It was basic business economics that caused me to sell my truck. Poly has been good so far.

 

Headed to Florida, gonna soak up some sun.

seriously....I have been trailer truckin'. I delivered my Fulton, NY to Phoenix load mid morning Wednesday, and got an immediate load out of the mines 90 miles east of Phoenix headed to Amarillo. Will put me @ 3350/wk plus have 8ish drive hours to run. I managed a 34 enroute to AZ, but since then I haven't had a day under 10 1/2 hours...so this fresh logbook is burning up quick. I love 600+ mile days. And where I deliver in Amarillo we also pu loads...hopefully they will save me a load tomorrow.

 

I'm on a load from Newport Tn to York Pa and then home for 3 days.

My get home load is in a Shaffer trailer, first time I've drug a reefer around. Fyi if you get a load from the ConAgra plant in Newport, the lot is being redone (yeah!!) Wear boots its nasty muddy now

 

Pick up at the mines I think its Superior? Of highway 60?

 

Pulling my first shaffer load right now too. noisey lil goober lol

 

A little south of there. Go to superior, t/right on az177 ... About 10 miles down, a town called Kelvin. Google maps didn't even find it....w/several 10% grades. Going in wasn't bad, but pulling 44500 out made my little engine work too hard...not to mention my jake picked the worst time to decide to go MIA.

Now I'm on a load right back out of Amarillo to Westchester OH for anytime before 8am Monday. So, I'll have an 1125 mile weekend, and enough time to squeeze in another 34. It was kinda crazy the way the customer did things in Amarillo...I had to live unload, then take my empty back out, drop it in the drop lot(on their property) then come back in and p/u my preloaded trailer. And op's insisted I have an empty, to p/u at the same place I was delivering to... Can anyone say 'total waste of time'? Or 'WTF'?(what the flip I mean) looks like unless I have a major freight drought next week I will be between 10500 and 11500 for the month. This load that delivers Monday will put me in the low 9000's with hours available, and 9 days left to run.
