Like you say, to each his own experience. I'm sure there is a decent company out there I will settle into. Just got to find it before retiring.

Seems as though all companies have there own set of different problems but all are the same. Good Drivers sit and wait and bad drivers sit and wait for loads. Good drivers break down, bad drivers breakdown. In my many years of listening to humans complain about so and so in any occupation. I find they just want to be heard and not accept responsibilty for their own actions and blame someone else for the misfortune they have caused themselves. This story goes on to long. Frist. No one has it out for anyone driver. That myth is just plain stupied. These companies don't hire you to mess with you. They want you to run miles period. Duh that is how they make their bank. Second. Under no circumstances would any terminal not work on any company truck. Just a few phone calls to the corporate HQ Shop Manager. Would cure that in a jiffy. No terminal shop manager wants his ### reamed out by his boss. They are easy to replace like drivers are. Yes! any drive who is not checking the basics and waiting for the alarm to go off needs to be fired. I think' someone waited to long before putting the oil in the pan. Plus I get the feeling that a paper pusher got up one day and decided to be a steering wheel holder. KOTS.
tracyq144 and SierraSemiDriver Thank this. -
I have to disagree with just about everything there. Knights a training company. They have achieved this status in about three years. They used to require a few years experience and YES they used to fire drivers that could not maintain a measly 2500 miles a week. Used to be a place you could get comfortable, work hard, and make a living.
Get in get your training and get out. As with any large company you might bring home $300 in a week. That's your problem not the companies.
Man you guys that come here and stick up for these recycling companies are something else. Must be a way to vent your deep seated hatred for truck drivers in general. I hate these companies that pump out 800 drivers a month that are more than happy to be bringing home 500 bucks a week lowering standards for a whole profession.
So that's why Knight SUCKS. Capeche -
Knight is a substandard Co because they just don't have the freight. Low end second hand type freight. You know....the kind of freight o/os don't touch. Cheap n heavy.
-
Plus some of the most stupid retarded idiot customers you could imagine. Knight must be some cheap value junk hauler that customers call as a last resort. In other words there is no "carrier/shipper" relationship to cultivate here. Nope well load ya when we feel like it. Too bad it's a 400 mile load with 3 days on it. Who books this ####? Who is okay with 400 miles over 3 days?
SierraSemiDriver Thanks this. -

Businesses stay in business by selling a service. Your co needs to sell a unique service that no other co can provide. So that your co stands out from the rest. Knight sells the "out of time? Out of options?" Call us.
now the co I work for can make a delivery anywhere in the country within 72hours. That's what we sell.
