Fully understood AT. I don't work weekends so 50 K suits me just fine. It's been, for the last two years, a 14k and 16k raise from what I earned at Knight. I still managed to live off the chump change I made with the big red ######.

    American-Trucker Thanks this.

yeah, i dont think 50k is hard to do, i grossed 30k for the six or seven months i was first there, and right now i'm on track to make 48k for this year, and i'm not really even running all that hard, two weeks out and three days on my butt cheeks. wash, rinse, and repeat

Wow. I'll be lucky to clear 25k this year at the rate I'm going. It doesn't help that I'm not being reimbursed again.

ha.. i remember when i was running my flatbed hauling salt from NM, that skit was horrible, and the time lines were so tight it was hard to get a shower in a truck stop.. got to the point where i was using my water jug (the one i use to clean mirrors and windshild) baby wipes and hand sanitizer to wash my balls.. but the money was so good i didn't even care.. two weeks of that b.s and then a pipe run to ft. pierce and then on the couch for a week and a half. i would only plan for a week, but it took at least two or three days to find a load back out of florida..

quote from Wikipeadia: " "Wade in the Water" contained explicit instructions to fugitive slaves on how to avoid capture and the route to take to successfully make their way to freedom. This particular song allegedly recommends leaving dry land and taking to the water as a strategy to throw pursuing bloodhounds off one's trail"
