    I like it ok.. so far.... I can't really tell you to much about it. I'm just starting out.
    To clarify, I am a new driver... I went to a cdl school on my own and just graduated from it on Feb. 10. So, I'm not an experienced driver. Hopefully, I will be getting a mentor tomorrow.

    You're a mentor? Maybe that's why Swift has so many problems. One giant run-on sentence with multiple spelling error's. How can you train people to drive a truck, when you can't even write the english language correctly. Honestly people there are so many good companies out there. Please look around and do some research. Don't just go to work at the first company that will hire you.

    Tax + ssi = fica.... = 20%

    Tax = 13%

    SSI = 7%

    Treating drivers-- OK that is not 'Swift's' fault. That is the middle little minded people who go in to work day in and day out who hate their job and project their misery onto others.
    Bad pay-- True, but new drivers will have to prove themselves safe and capable and work their way up. It's all part of the process to weed out those who won't be able to hack it, sort of separating the men from the boys if you will. A person has to really want this driving thing terribly bad to do it Swift's way. It's not the only way and I applaud you for going a different route to get there and achieve that which you want, better pay and hometime, and respect for your skills.

    That's fair, most new drivers don't have a good experience with the trainers.
    I was part of the last crop of 6 weekers, along about 200 hours into it we got a message on the qualcomm announcing the 240 hour trick, I was excited because it would be my last week on the truck. Mentor dude was not happy and held me for 2 more weeks, in fact when we got back to the terminal for me to upgrade he scored a quick 849 mile round trip run that he made me help him with.
    Come on, you can't tell how this guy is as a mentor by his writing style.
    Just for fun, I found three errors in your post lol.
    error's -- errors
    english--English
    Honestly people....-- needs a paragraph break

    I'm a rookie been with Swift for 6 months been in my own truck for 4 months I have no complaints I've been treated well except the few ######## at the windows in terminals, that's ok if there rude to me I can be rude right back there just jealous we make lots more $$$ than them, It took me about 2 months to prove my self but now I'm basically always on a load unless on hometime or restart I'm averaging 3000 miles a week some weeks upto 3400 the past month not less than 3000 miles a week I'm make lots of money and my DM takes care of me, anybody that says they couldn't make money with Swift is just a bad driver and shouldn't be driving a truck either there lazy and can't drive 11hrs a day or don't want to I drive as far as I can everyday even if Im going to be a day early might have a chance for a restart if ur early enough or just take a lazy day or if it's a drop more of a chance to get a new load to make more money for the week, I love my job the only part I hate is not seeing my wife and kids everyday, but if I keep it up within 2 years I'll have a nice local job driving tankers.

    Thanks for your post. My mentor is cool. He corrects me when needed. He wants me to be a safe and professional driver. Being away from my wife is hard for me but a few more weeks and she'll be getting on the truck with me and we'll be on the road for a couple years together. Small price to pay to have my wife with me.
    From what I see if you want to work there is money to be made. My mentor and I are running hard. I'm getting 10 hours a day in. I get to see alot of the country. In 2 days I've seen Utah, Wyoming, Vegas and Arizona. Tomorrow we will be going thru new Mexico and into Texas. To drop the load. I'm really liking it.

    Round2 Thanks this.
