While we are talking about accounts... Does anyone know if USA is still running flatbed in Ohio?

I was told that we lost the Dana account. Apparently the contract was up for rebid and either Werner or US Express underbid USA and we couldn't afford to match it. This was coming from another driver though so it's likely just poor scuttlebutt.

Funny you said that. My old trainer said he was going to pickup a 2 stop load. He got to the first pickup with no problems, got to the second pickup and they said they needed a reefer lol.

Well it turns out that this was one of the easiest loads I've ever had to deal with. Only 15k lbs so no scaling or axle setting. I got to the receiver 2 hours early (0200) and it was a very small warehouse that does local distro only. Staffed by a JB Hunt crew that used 6 wheel box trucks. Well the manager was very happy to see me and told me where to dock and to just get some rest, that he would bring me the paperwork when they got done. He even confirmed that I could take my 10 in his parking lot. Only thing bad about this load was the dock. I had to 90 degree in a dark parking lot when I was tired and put the trailer right between two International box trucks. I ended up GOALing several times because I was so worried about hitting one of his trucks lol.

He told me that the facility handled final delivery for a lot of special order appliances to homes and businesses. Probably why it was scheduled for 0400 and his excitement that I made it on time may have been that they needed some of that load that day. I suspect that Exrayman was right and we were pulling a favor for Whirlpool. I'm sure USA stood to get some kind of expedited fee or bonus for early completion.

they lost part of the dana account with some drivers being late and failing loads. Anybody that works at usa knows dana is the hottest load you can have, especially dry ridge ky to laredo and back. dana only allows 23 hrs from the time it leaves ky till it gets to the border! And I believe we got 98% of the dana we lost, back. just my .02

so i deliver in Baton Rouge at 0800 in the morning, pre plan comes through for 0900 pick up which i promptly refuse due to the fact i will be getting unloaded at the time i am suppose to be picking up next load. Now they are giving me hassle about this lol.Pre plan says send in y if you can pick up and deliver ontime and legally and n if you refuse load then give reason why you are refusing. So why give a reason for refusal when they bug you non stop after you do so makes no sense

Because the load planners still suck and the fleet managers don't want to hassle with them to get the loads rearranged :). In other words... USA still hasn't got their head on completely straight lol!

needless to say that load did not get picked up till 1300, 4 hours late hence did not get delivered today either all because they would not take me off the load when i originally refused the pre plan due to me not being able to pick up on time because i was going to be getting unloaded at 0800 in baton rouge
