Pick up at 5 pm and deliver at 10 pm, 400 miles away... on the same day?

That does not work out on more levels than a 14.
You would have to leave at 1700, drive straight through without a break, and average 80 MPH!

I guess that it was pre-loaded, and a substantial tailwind was in the forecast.

Sorry, was not very clear on that. Kohls are R/t loads. the first stop was 205 miles away. The problem, clock started at 0600 and delivery was 2200. I figure about 2 hours past my 14 hours. Yes, the PU was 1700. Lots of time that are loaded early, but it was the delivery. Many will take early delivery, and some can not, and with ECT on duty, nobody could answer questions. Heck, even the loss prevention people at the DC do not always know if the store can take early or not. I was not going to take a chance and accept and then get caught in a problem. Does not MAC 10 ask how many hours left on 14 at pta, and if I say that I will have 10, somehow sending a pplan with a delivery at 12 hours past my PTA, well.

    That's Plus-1 for you.
    No real concept of time.

It's like the programmers of Plus-1 are deliberately trying to make us run illegally. Or the planners themselves?
Or to make us simply refuse more loads to raise our refusal rate.
    Both?

How many in the back office are laughing their heads off at us, because of all the wasted planning we have to do to simply refuse a load that they already know can not be done?

Only to have it come back on us a second time when our DM brings up our high refusal rate.

At home in PA. Waiting till Friday to see if I can finish up my swift training. Getting Antsy and wanting to get out on the road and outta the house. Seems like when I am out can't wait to get back, and when I am back can't wait to get out.

I have done a lot of Kohls loads out of the Tx DC in Corsicanna. On the round trip loads they are usually only concerned that you get to the store on time, usually before 0500 or 0530. It's a drop and hook and you return with a nearly empty trailer. Here, we get the key for the kingpin lock and never have to see the receiver IF it is with a Kohls logoed trailer. Very rarely do we do that with a Swift trailer, but it has happened with what they call a sweeps load...happens every 2 weeks or so but you have to see the store before backing in so they can unlock the swing doors. Kohls trailers are all roll up so they unlock it from inside.

Still here in the upper midwest. Nice chill weather. Was in the middle of trip planning 2 sweet mac 30 loads approximately 2000 miles each (only had 42 hours to play with) when they removed those loads and offered an 800 mile load which was fine but it showed 0 empty miles which is wrong, should be closer to 80 miles.Asked them to fix that, no response, no loads on mac 30 all of a sudden now.

Had a mac 30 choice to run a shorty run into Indianapolis today or wait til tomorrow (34 will be done) and run a 3 stopper down to Texas. Lord help me we're going back to Texas again lol. Every time I go down there, I get stuck there for days. Last time was the shipper's fault-- sat all day Friday Saturday and Sunday to pick up a load on Monday after I already arrived at shipper on Friday morning to deliver 340 miles away by Tuesday morning. Called asking about my Detention pay that is absent from my paycheck last week. She said owner operators don't get layover pay.
