My mentor, a great teacher, taught me to ALWAYS follow the same exact sequence, no matter what, for coupling and uncoupling so it became ingrained habit. As a result, I have never had a problem. Sounds to me like the MENTOR is slacking, not the student.

My girl is released from the truck hospital today. They replaced a whole bunch of stuff on her.
Weird thing was they did it all without consulting me. Most of the Kenworth shops I've been to around the country call and confirm every time they find something wrong that was not on the original ticket. These guys just basically ripped and tore into the truck, fixing and replacing at will.
I asked how many thousands of dollars it would cost, they did not even know yet. They guy gave me the keys and said I was free to go; he would call later with the final verdict....
I gotta say, wonderful timing-- had to pay state and federal taxes yesterday to the tune of an arm and a leg.
I'm at one of those truck stops that serves pizza- 2 slices for $5 bucks, yummy.fr8monkey Thanks this. -
Calgary AB at the flying J doing a 36 instead of a 34 ,, Planners sent me 2 PP's already and had to decline both because as of right now I don't have enough hours to get me back to the states even with hours rolling off tonight,,err

Sweetwater, TX. Drop in the morning. Looking at MAC 30 today, and a bunch of crap comming outta Odessa, one was even for all of 180 miles to Lubbuck, TX, and one back to Fort Worth. Just going to wait until morning and see what is up.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
In SLC at the J on I-15 and 201. Deliver 3 miles away at 6am. Pulling a T trailer for the first time and have to say its nice. Its one of the few that doesn't dogleg; the worst was the month old trailer I dropped when I hooked this one.

Not much coming out of Odessa .. that Ft Worth load might have been your best bet.

Apple Valley, MN.
On home time, finally, until Saturday morning - late Saturday morning.
Then I will head in to the MN terminal to get my permanent plates and reg for my new truck, and see if they can replace a 12V socket that doesn't work. -
It might have been. Glad that I did not. Dollar General did not have one mt trailer. After mt, sent two pplans, first was dh 310 miles to pu going 600, haz-mat, then dh another 60 to Baytown to pu ld with t-call in PHX. The only problem with Baytown, I have my wife with me, and I am not leaving her in a t/s while I pu up the load. In the meantime, there are about 6 trailers loaded with CHEP going back to Ft. Worth.

Wondering why that is? They way I see it drop wife off with all dirty laundry and you go get the load she will stays at TS and do the wash. Two birds with one stone.
Not trying to be rude if she wants she can pick up load and you do the wash it does not matter the point is the wash got done and you got the load going to PHX and you did not have to spend valuable drive doing the wash.
