Heading out to meet our kids and grandbaby at Fuddruckers in Orlando. My Avatar could be Wimpy. But Magoo fits also.

Sent a load assignment to pick up 140 miles from where I dropped the last load, got here in Bakersfield, CA yesterday at 9am. Pick up time was today at 15:00, got there was was told "we have no load with that BOL #" Called afterhours DM he told me we will have to take care of it tomorrow......YAY . . .

So hey im sitting in bakersfield, ca again....sucks cause i could have had a fresh clock had i not drove to the shipper.

That's the oldest trick in the book. There never was a load. They made it up so they wouldn't have to pay you layover pay. Your not getting paid for the miles either. No matter where you pick up tomorrow, your getting paid from where you delivered to your next pick up. In a few months don't be thinking that this how trucking is because it isn't. Knights just got a different way of...doing things.

Hasn't been my experience so far. And, actually, I have heard this same thing said about lots of other companies too.

I think it was just a misunderstanding somewhere, I got a new load today picking up from the same place but going to phoenix, and not tolleson. oh well no biggie ill still get the miles on the next check like i wanted.

yeah, don't believe that b.s about it being a trick, it really does happen, i was sent with a load to a customer, only to find out the release number wasn't right, had to sit with it for two days before they could get a hold of the shipper on monday to get it situated.. besides as long as you were dispatched on that load, they can't really cheat you out of those empty miles.. because it's in the system.. how else would they explain the truck moving 140mi? the real issues is being compensated for the time you spent waiting for that issue to get worked out. My DM will give me a PO for a few bucks, but if you ask a few TTR memebers, they'll sware on their mom's great aunt Sally's grave that it never happens and that you'll just be s.o.l.

Flying Jay in Deep Water, NJ.. or what ever city that's next to Deep Water that has the Flying Jay and the Pilot in it.
