May not hear from me much either...I'm about to get outta here. Less than a week after a new AC was installed in my sleeper, it's failed. I'm just sick and tired of this "no-idle" BS equipment not working as it should. No reason I should continue to subject myself to this crap.

I'll take an APU any #### day of the week. Maybe as early as next week!

You had more patience than I would've had...I'd have been out of here long ago. I wish you the best of luck!

    48Packard Thanks this.

Now that you've experienced the real Crete instead of the advertised Crete... Were my reports of what it is like here more understandable...yea sure I'm a bit more negative than what you've experienced, but in hindsight...was I too far off? Remember, I have put up with 8.5 yrs of it...kinda pushes all the right buttons on the negative side of the equasion

You can tether for free if you root your phone and install an app called "Wifi Tether". It's really great if you're grandfathered in on the unlimited data plan and just upgraded your phone so you'll still have unlimited for a few years ;-)

Phone before this I had rooted and was great for keeping my data card under its limit. But since I'm not running I don't have the need.

Did you see that Verizon is leading the charge to change plans and not allow users to keep unlimited data plans when they upgrade unless they pay full-price for the phone?

You got that right. Especially now, since I'm at the Columbus International dealership (after spending a few hours at the Columbus yard getting it diagnosed). The bunk AC up and quit cooling last night. Everything works...fan, compressor, everything. Seems the freon has leaked out....but have to have the dealership look at it. So, I've decided. Time to get with a company that still has APUs. And there's a driver meeting at Columbus today at 1600, which I am going to attend if I can....and I will unload. No profanity or vulgarity...but I WILL unload. If I get fired, so be it. I no longer give a tinker's ####.

Does anyone else think it is wierd that when requesting an approval for Lumper comchek that they ask security questions like your driver code and/or last 4 of ssn? They send the approval via qualcom. Just seems totally unnecessary to further interrogate the driver.:biggrin_25521:

If your real life personality is anything like online, it's amazing that you have maintained such an excellent sense of humor. I know how all the millions of little hassles, cars cutting you off, and idiotic dispatchers can make blood pressure and stress skyrocket. It seems like one of the crucial keys to trucking longevity is taking it all in stride. I don't know how you do it, but you seem to have tapped into that healthy attitude.
