My 2nd Thunderbolt was rooted...and before I lost it, it was the 2nd biggest piece of junk I've owned, next to this one. The other one was about to get a custom rom before the screen's auto rotate quit. I am having such data/network lock problems, I am about to snap this one in half. I'm gona do a warranty replacement and get my 4th phone in a year. Since the latest Android update it has gotten almost impossible to rely on. So I'm gona hold off on the root. It's a shame too, one of the dev's on the thunderbolt forum has just built an 'all in one' app for rooting, debloating or unrooting for returning the phone to Verizon.

Verizon did back off a bit, they're not forcing us to share...until a discounted phone upgrade and renewal is done. If we want to pay full price, you.can stay on unlimited.

I am on another one of those 2 a day loads again. Actually it is a 3 a day. After I delivered in Baltimore, I was offered a 'beyond my 14' load again. The 2nd preplan was from west of Baltimore to 2 stops in Syracuse for today, and a 3rd stop in Rochester tomorrow.(the 2nd Syracuse was for tomorrow, but it was only 2 blocks from stop 1, so I pulled in just before they closed and kicked it off). Not a great week, but since I was home for 5 days I cam't complain too much because I'm still sitting at 1300 + 2 extra stops by Thurs a.m..

...and I did, and not in a shy way. Don't know if anything will come of it....but let's say I'm not holding my breath.....

48Packard, did other drivers back you up at the meeting?

Several, yes. Though I believe my, shall I say, firmness perhaps lent them to keep their comments to "here here!" and the like. But yes, there was support and discussion.

    Ralph4159 and RizenPhoenix Thank this.

@48packard Not trying to rain on your parade, just honestly curious about how Crete treats/views drivers: Support and discussion are good things, but your previous posts make you sound like someone seeking solutions and action. What's the likelihood that the former leads to the latter in this case?

I am. I am not a lip-service kinda guy. You say you're going to do something, do it...I don't care if you're an individual or a company. Do it. Now, do I expect anything good to come of this? No, not really. Maybe I'm just getting cynical in my 52nd year....I'm just sick and tired of short-sightedness when it comes to making decisions that can affect a worker's health, such as not having a back-up plan for air conditioning if the preferred method fails.

It's not a new problem, and it'll be around long after I'm done driving professionally. But I'm not afraid to sound off.

Let me add that this, at least to me, is a non-issue as far as the relationship between my asset manager and me, or even between any of the people at Crete I may have to deal with on a periodic basis, such as Breakdown. I felt the same way at Schneider. It's the clowns in the ivory towers that have no sense of what goes on on the street.

    Kinda like Washington in microchosm.

    HERE HERE!!!

Was the boss-boy wonder there? I have talked to drivers who have tried to voice a complaint in his presence only to be told that he would speak to him later, and when they spoke, the driver was told that is how the company does things, and if he didn't like it, he could leave at any time... But this is just what I heard...I wasn't there to hear it happen, so ...take it for what it's worth.
