"they have been running them ragged".
Running ragged sounds tons better than sitting and waiting. Went to South Fla. with CRST and sat for 3 day's, then got a load to Lorado TX and sat another 4 days. Tired of sitting, if the wheels aint turning you aint making money. Is it the same over at Shaffer?

With luck this will continue, last couple of months it has been a lot of sitting here too. This month I had 3.5 days off and I will be at 10300 when I deliver on the 28th.

Sounds like they're trying to make up a little for some of that origional down time.
If your new chariot is a Maxxforce...best of luck. This one is running o.k., but it's the interaction between the the Maxxforce's cruise control and the OnGuard that is driving me nuts.Last edited: Jul 27, 2012

Well, I guess all good things must come to an end. After a 2.5 hour live unload at a customer we usually drop/hook at, I was given a 3 stop, 425 mile run for Monday afternoon. They need to show me where the rocket boosters are, or turn this truck up to 70mph. 1st stop, east of Richmond at 10 am (at a bulk mail center), 2nd stop on the west side of Greensboro at 1400, and the 3rd somewhere in Greensboro at 1500 (the directions don't match the address). Plus between stops 1 and 2 is my fuel stop. It is 210 miles between the two...so that will give me 15 or so minutes to unload, and 10 minutes to fuel...leaving me 3 hr and 35 minutes to drive it in at 62ish mph. Then 15 minutes to unload stop 2 and hunt stop 3 before my 14 runs out.
I went all last week without hearing a peep out of my A/M...and things ran smooth as silk. Now today, he is the one answering my messages (eventually) and it's a screwed up load...kinda makes me want to fire him, it sure doesn't help having him around any more. I am trying to figure out when they stuck me on his board...would kinda like to see if it was around that time when my monthly miles started to tank...even with this months 10700 (w/this load) my monthly average for the year-to-date is under 10k.Last edited: Jul 28, 2012

I bet your in York, Pa. Supersnack, it was nice meeting you

Best thing I ever did was cover up that #### OnGuard device on my front bumper....I was soooo tired of it beeping at me....

If you got the battery a/c system, don't be a nice guy and give someone a jump start. We did and it burned up a fuse and relay in the system. We had to idle for 3 weeks before we could find a terminal that had time to fix it.

Were you the driver with your son as a co-pilot?
They may have screwed my load up. The 2nd stop on the paperwork has a later set appt (according to the shipper) than the 3rd stop shows. I don't know if they loaded the last two stops backwards or just had their head up their butt when they set them. With the weekend staff in Lincoln...nothing will get solved. I can just feel this 425 mile load taking 3 or 4 days to deliver...maybe if I took a detour through home they would get on the stick and solve it! -
But I hate how this thing acts w/o cruise. If you just hold it to the matt, and you hit the gov, then once it drops back where the power kicks in...you can hear the slack in the trans racking the crap out of the gears...and if something goes wrong they'll bend over backwards to blame it on the driver.
