I was wondering the same thing. That's quite an operation they have in there as they are digging more caves. It seems like a freestanding structure would be cheaper HOWEVER it was 58 degrees inside of there and that was the natural temperature. A few heaters in the offices and the electricity savings must be astronomical. That first turn to the right and the immediate left to the rear docks was close...very close but it's doable. The rest were no problem. I can see some drivers with claustrophobia freaking out in there but there is a yard jokey service that will come and get your trailer from the staging area, take it in and bring it back out when it's loaded. I think Marten uses the service as I saw lot's of Marten trailers inside, no trucks inside and several bobtails outside in the staging area. Overall though it was a cool place.

Not only that but when the first started building them the thought was in case of WAR they figured the place would be safe , easier to defend than above ground warehouses

    QUESTION BOUT THE E-LOGS:

Just say you have drove to your final and the delivery time is in the morning and they let you park at the receiver for the night. You had like 6 hours of drive time left when you pulled in there. So you put yourself in the sleeper when you got there. Now you wake up get unloaded and your done get a load assignment. Do you still have those 6 hours to drive or do they go away while you were in the sleeper?

no,your 14 hour clock is running while you are sleeping.if you took a 2 hour break you would get some back after 8 hours.or go to 10 to fully recover.

Marten does alot of drop n hook at the caves. We do go inside to put it in a door, and then bobtail out to get an empty. If no door avaliable, then we drop it out in the yard.

Well if you took a minute to think about it , what is mostly stored in there ? And if you want to hurt a country you destroy their FOOD supplies.
