Regarding the current postion page......it needs to at least show the closest mile marker and road/ interstate etc. Sitting at a parking area east of Wamsutter, WY and seeing only lat/lon coordinates.

do you have the autozoom set on street level? this will give more detail on close roads.
or when getting close click gear icon to see next crossroad ahead.

Not the gear icon- he wants to click the bottom center- that will rotate the bottom center display- the display with cross roads shows the next crossroad or exit. The gear symbol puts the user into the route options page.

If the state/local government has not named these roads then they will not show a name and if they have they may not be in the state road system.

I will check what you mentioned.

    Thanks,

Since you are in a parking area, there are no nearest closest streets since usually the parking area the roads leading into them are not really a road that would be named. So the TND only knows by Lat/Long.

I can see if we can modify the search for this.

Mile markers would show if you were on the actual freeway.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I am thinking down the lines of road service. My outfit uses Qualcom yes, but we have just the basic package I guess because our breakdown department depends on the driver giving his exact location and not our QC. Seeing that on that page would be a definite plus no matter the location.

I have a question Mark. On the Garmins there's a scale on the screen to show you what you have the zoom/look set at (Ex. one inch=5 miles) Does the 720 have that?

OK , maybe the cross roads thing will work , took a test drive with it and it did give me the next cross road "way" before I got to it.......still wish it would just show it on the map but I will get used to it !

On the map screen, look to the right and you will see the "+", "-" (zoom levels), you will see a scale between the "+" and the "-" signs.

    Thanks,
