Any truckstop will give you blank comchecks, they have a big box under the counter

Any lumper fee under $100 Crete charges the driver $1.40 if dispatch gives them the express code. If we write a comcheck using the cash advance on our fuel card we get charged 25 cents. And the fee is not reimbursed. They only refund the $1.40 if the comcheck is higher than $100.

My terminal refused to change my fuel stop today. I had the dreaded Kimper, KY to southwest Atlanta load. They had me running I-26 to highway 25 to I-85 into Atlanta and fueling in Piedmont SC.

It's about 10 miles longer to run thru Knoxville and down 75, plus I just scaled the load on I 81 at exit 36. Which is the closest scale that I know of unless I run north to I 64.
I fueled at Lenoir City, what's that an extra 20 miles

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this weird effect. I have been a lifelong musician and fan of straight-ahead jazz. The music that Crete plays on hold is extremely high quality jazz and not generic Muzak at all. This makes it super uncomfortable and tortuous to listen to. It's like going to the dentist for a root canal and being served your favorite food. It ruins it.

Two things. One, I hate to drive between midnight and 0400. Drunk hours.

Second, the story said he was in right center and apparently had a truck to his left which swerved right allowing the 4 wheeler access to your friend's grill. I stay far right, unless during busy hours when a lot of merging/exiting is going on.

Still, kind of like a lightning strike....whooda thunk?

Incorrect. He was directly behind Swifty. There was no truck to his left. The 4 wheeler was coming direct at the right inside lane the 2 trucks were traveling. Swift moved hard right, but Shaffer couldn't hardly react other than a reflexive steer to the right.

I think the reason the truck is all the way in the left lane against the wall in the pictures is because on impact either the left steer tire blew, or the axle was pushed back or broke causing the truck to go to the left. Depending on how fast the other guy was moving, you're talking about a combined speed of both vehicles over 100. He's lucky in a way. If it were a little more of a sideswipe it could've ruptured the fuel tank and exploded killing both

Sometimes classic rock, sometimes classic metal, other times stone blues(electric rock/blues). I use to love jazz, but kinda morphed into a blues man since the pre-sorryace/xm days the best place to find jazz was Saturday night on NPR...Jazz and blues were on back to back. Now I'm a blues man, and since classic rock is based on 3-chord blues it's a given that I enjoy it too.
