The picnic table gang is a host of common characters that always seem to be there when I pass through kinda of funny but yes lots of smoke blowing out that umbrella!!
I can tell you they have kept me busy the only thing that's been holding me back is my truck not holding up using antifreeze again and stuttering on take off,so they are checking it out my mother broke her wrist and so I'm nursing her(she has no one but me)
I have been running pretty good lately 3750,3198,3550... a little less then before but very manageable but when I'm on the road I keep my mouth and my door shut.
oh yeah and if you see the coverage of the high speed chase on the 35 in north Texas in which a friendly trucker put the bad gal yes female crazy driver into the guardrail and bridge post that ended the chase with not a scratch on "his" truckThe back doors say FREYMILLER and that was some crazy a@# sh@#!!! Got a thumbs up from the Trooper couldn't get any one to answer they're radio so funneled her into the right side guardrail at about 55-60 mph.

Ron the way people do things on here. First you have to understand mostly rookies use this site and they don't know how we truckers like to add a few hundred here and there. Not saying these guys are. You will see that most of the numbers are hub miles. Not paid miles so those numbers are going to be higher. Then what some people do. Is they don't tell people the pay period cut off. So if like most of us we have a good load but we can't deliver it till after cut off. (some) Will Add those miles to that week on here to make it look like they are getting steady miles.
For example I have a 1500 mile load and then I get another 1500 mile load after that but since Wednesday at midnight is our cut off. I'll get on TTR and brag about getting 3000 miles for the week. When I really only got 1500. Then the next week not only will they use the 1500 miles that will be on next check added to the 2000 miles they got this week. So they get on ttr and say they got 3500 miles for the week. When if they were honest they would of said. I got 1500 last week, and carried over the 1500 + the 2000 miles they got this week. But hey you can't recruit a bunch of people by telling them the truth. Your company is up and down like all the rest. So you just don't tell the whole truth and make it look like you are avg 3500 miles every week on e log with a 65mph truck pulling refrigerated ltl loads with multiple stops. I'm not saying these guys are doing it, but I have caught some doing it like that.JustWannaBeComfortable, tjsoda and scottied67 Thank this. -
taking a couple hours on a sunday to watch a football game, never hurt my mileage for the week. live a little.augiedoggie41 Thanks this.

Freymiller always has the high miles available.
It makes the per mile pay rate look better.
just the truth....... -
Yes I carried over a load a few times dinomite but that put me at 4592 for the week I run I don't stop except to fuel and shower/eat I'm away from my family so I do all I can to make it worth while I haven't had but two multi stop loads which paid very well 7 stops.
I really like all the naysayer's out here I'm done posting(recruiting) as some would say cuts into my nap time I average $1100 a week I have all the miles I need some weeks more then others but I'm not going to be called a liar(recruiter)
so you all do what you do and BE SAFE!!!!
Teddy_Salad, Bigdubber and Runnin Thank this. -
I'm not going to argue either. I know that the miles that I state are miles that are on my settlement. I also carry trips over just because of when the deliveries fall. When I got my truck on Aug 15, it had approx 93500. As of right now, it has 107,800. So in 6 weeks, I have put 14,300 miles on my truck or an average of 2400 miles/wk. Remember that time includes a week at home (3 days in Aug, 4 in Sep,) and 4 days total at the yard getting the truck worked on and whatnot. So average miles when I have been out running is actually 3033.
Dinomite; I see you just joined TTR. I highly doubt that you have the site figured out yet...much less peoples motivations for posting things. Instead of trying to psychoanalyze others posts, why don't you give them the benefit of the doubt. Honestly though; if you don't believe Freymiller has miles, then you don't know Freymiller. -
I do not run for Freymiller ( yet ), but know well 3 who do. 2 are company drivers and the other a long time owner operator. Their miles like all drivers at any company vary - but all say 3000 -3300 miles/week is doable on e-logs there. Those that speak against these posts or claim they know how everything works sound more like wishful thinkers, their miles aren't therefore yours shouldn't be either. Sad when your life boils down to picking on others -vs- just moving on ... just saying.

I do lots of reading my friend. I also have been a guest before feeling I had to say something to somebody to prevent them from making a mistake and having to sign up. I was even a fan of you and your buddies COG short stay at JCT.
As I said I don't know if you guys are doing the funny math. I just said it happens. If the shoe doesn't fit. Don't lace them up. I live right down the road from Freymiller off of SW 15th street as you go toward Morgan. I actually filled out an application there in the driver room, and I could hear all the people moaning and groaning. But I been out here over 10 years so I know that's just what people do in drivers room. I Got another job b4 Freymiller called and at the time (2years ago). They were only paying like 32cpm or 34. My gig was paying 40cpm. So like I said if its true then good deal and may you and your family make tons of money.
Me being in a 65mph truck on elogs and delivering multiple stop loads know how hard it is for all the ducks to to line up. To get 3,000 plus mile weeks to line up. Now when I was outlawing. Oh I could make it work. So like you said trip planing is key, but when you sitting at a meat plant for lord knows how long and it gets ready, and you have the time. You have to boot scoot and boogy. Not familiar with all the aspects of freymiller so maybe you guys don't have all the multiple stop loads like we do hear at jbs carriers. I also know you guys do a lot of repowering. That's what some of the guys were complaining about when I was filling out my app.
Again I think you have proven my point about not talking about paid miles but hub miles. I only talk about paid miles because when I have to run to a washout out of the way. I'm not getting paid for that. Or when I need to find a truck stop and wait for a load and then have to back track. But anyways again. Keep posting been reading this thread since it started while I was a guest. I will be checking these guys out if I ever get tired of my current job since they are so close by the house. Would not hesitate to put one of you guys as a referrer(if that is a word) either You guys keep in safe and God bless.JustWannaBeComfortable Thanks this. -
Also a neighbor of mine was trying to get me to come over to high country and they were pulling you guys trailers. So are you saying they don't do that no more?
-
I split up the post to make it easier to answer...
Like you said, truckers moan and groan. I will say though that the moaning and groaning at Freymiller is very small compared to other companies. A lot of people told me that Freymiller would never get me home. I have been home twice without issue from the company. It's also like the Freymiller thread in the "Bad Company" section. A bunch of disgruntled drivers they felt like they were wronged by Freymiller 3 years...or a decade...or 2 ago.
In 6 weeks, the only meat plants I have been to is Creekstone and Bar S. Each time, it was a drop/hook and the trailer was ready to go when I arrived. I also have not had any multi-stop loads yet. They might have done a bunch of repowering back in the day, but I've only done one when I broke down in NM. With only 350 trucks in the fleet, repowering can be difficult...especially if you're off of a freight lane. Now this is just my experience so mileage may vary.
All this extra driving that you are talking about might equal out to an extra 10 miles/wk...unless you're out in the boonies of course. Even still, my overhead is negligible. It's not like we're out here driving 600 mi/wk for free.
Freymiller is just like any other company in regards to dispatching drivers. If they see that you're not afraid to run, they'll give you the miles. On the other hand, if you like to stop every hour, blow off p/u's and deliveries, want to take the weekends off, etc, then they'll make sure that you have plenty of time to do that...up to and including letting you find a way back to the casa. Freymiller is very strict on utilization. They want their trucks running...not sitting at a t/s for 2 days waiting on a load. They have a big white board in Ops with their weekly utilization goals on it. For example, their goal is to have 72% of the fleet preplanned on a load before they are empty. I think we are around 68% right now.
I live plenty my friend, but I'm out here to make money. That 3 hours for a football game is 195 miles farther down the road. Besides, I wasn't talking about taking a couple of hours to watch a game. I was talking about the guys that take the entire weekend off to watch all the college and NFL games, and then ##### about not getting any miles.Robert1981 Thanks this.
