Not true!! They still have Volvos on the road, I doubt we ever see a company Volvo. Plus here at Crete, you have to be on the road more than 6 mos in your career before they let you train.

Made it back to the yard today after a couple of hours sleep last night and then the midnight run to deliver in Dallas. Had to change over into my 4th truck as it is going to take them some time to fix mine. Had a chance to relook over all of my pay info and got a more accurate measure of my miles and drops for October and also calculated up November.

    October: 9753 miles, 9 extra drops, 10 trips, 975.3 average miles/trip, 5 days home
    November: 9821 miles, 11 extra drops, 9 trips, 1091.2 average miles/trip, 7 days home

    Total miles: 19574, 1030.2 miles/trip

Got offered 6 load choices this afternoon and asked to look them over and call back. I called back about 5 minutes later and 3 of them were gone:) I mistakenly thought they would all still be available but I guess with so many drivers heading out on Sunday that they were calling everyone and filling the slots. I had decided to do the Pueblo, Co and Denver two stopper but it was already snagged so I ended up choosing a 2 stopper going to Norman, OK to a mom and pops and then up to Cedar Falls, IA at a Target DC. Kind of screwed up distances for the two days. Not knowing a lot of the trips leaving out of here makes it a little difficult to pick which loads to select but I suppose with a little more time I will develop that knowledge and be able to make a more savvy choice with available options.

Been a slow week for me at Poly. I have stayed close to the yard most of the week in order to attend tonight's annual driver meeting. I ended up turning in 1685 miles and I worked on the clock for a few hours here at the yard in Grand Prairie. Outbound called me yesterday and I have a 1 stop load to Uxbridge, Ma that picks up Monday morning and delivers Thursday morning at 8am. With this load, I Should be able to turn 3700 miles this week, so it is a welcome return to profitability. Hope everyone has a great week.

Lol...Really??? That's your question? You really should read more of the thread. Anyone else know the answer to this one? I know Swift hires out of CA. I heard they were looking for some good drivers out of that area. Poly hiring a person out of CA would be interesting. They have a major rule that would make that extremely difficult. I really don't know Poly's hiring area but I do know this...YOU WILL BE FIRED if your Poly truck ever Pings anywhere in that state. Hope that helps and thanks for the laugh! Sorry but you mentioned reading through the thread. Try again and then read your question again! Hello???

What about San Diego or San Francisco? LMAO...I read the thread...I promise! Thanks for giving Ryanj a pass on that question. There is a lot to read on this thread. I'm guessing some things weren't read from the sounds of it. Wish I could do the Sam's deal tonight. Enjoy the meeting and Sam's deal. Take care out there.
