i couldnt figure out how the system worked before i started either. kinda took a leap of faith.

the only thing i dont.like is this system makes it all but impossible to plan a load out and back or a triangle etc. you may see a load from a to b then go look at b and find a load to c but there is no gaurantee you can get it. you have to first book the load from a to b before you can try to get the next load. its my one and only complaint. and i.usually complain about everything so.thats pretty good

I was going to take a load down there too but if they are signing on that many then I may rethink that.. I believe the time out per driver is 6 minutes which I think is too long. Also my coordinator said they were getting in trouble for setting the DH radius to high cuz it was slowing down the board (to many drivers matching up to far away freight that they will never haul and other drivers having to wait for said drivers to either time out or refuse before they could be accepted on the load.

the best way is to have your coordinator set your preference for 150 mile dh, and then you look on the load board yourslf for loads further out.

in some areas i have mine do a 75 mile dh. if you arent willing to dh 500 miles no need to look that far.

i am set to 200 in most places, 300 if i am in tx.

flat would be better in tx then step for sure. i told rusty to get a flat, dont know if he listened to me or not he wanted a step. still i am fat and not getting any younger so i really like my step as far as securing and tarping goes

Job hopping in this economy is pointless, unless you find someone who has dedicated freight out and back. Mercer and almost every company like it run primarily spot market freight.

WideLoad: have you tried a hanging ladder on your step? It really makes a difference. Because of my ladder, I've thought about getting a flat for the better rates. IMG_4938.jpg

Guess it flew over my head that time. Written communication isn't the most vibrant way to communicate, and I'm not really into those emoticon things to show tone, etc.

All I really know, is the freight trend is definitely down these last 6 months. I'm sitting in a motel over the weekend, all by my lonesome, thinking of the beach and how that city job wasn't so bad. At least I got home every day, had friends, and got to the gym 4X a week. My jelly rolls are growing cause I'm not being worked hard enough. LOL
