I've got some credits. (15) college is mainly for those that can't make it in this world. My neighbor has one. He don't know how to change a lawnmower wheel or a car headlight. If he had no degree he'd starve

    That's a rather myopic statement.

I got a degree from a trucking school that exceeds PTDI standards... Yup, I am a college edumacated driver! I do need two more college classes to get my degree in transportation management. Even once completed, I doubt I will ever use it for anything. I love trucking more than anything, and I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

Possibly but I'm thinking out loud. If I was as dumb as a box of rocks, I would have stayed in school and lived off of mommies income for several more years. I just look the majority who has one and read between the lines.

I have a pilots license and a cdl driving is much more stable although i love flying having a business related degree can be a good thing going into trucking it will allow you to move into management faster.its not necessary to have a degree to get into management with every company though I have.been offerd management jobs before at a company.that liked to run outlaw and I will not ask drivers to do that so I left that company even.the mega carriers will promote you into management if your a hard worker only half of my bosses have degrees and one is a driver from my account

BS degree in Criminal Justice.....26 years as a LEO....4 years w/sheriff's office...22 years as a Louisiana State Trooper....driving a truck since high school hauling livestock and grain then a few years ago decided that I REALLY REALLY liked driving a truck more than dealing with the criminal element 24/7 so here I beez!

Yeah, most degrees require you to deal with lots and lots of people on a daily basis. I like the idea of drawing a paycheck without having to deal with much of anyone. Call me a loner or antisocial... I just rather be by myself for hours on end.
