Beaver Utah . Nothing really exciting to report, just a normal days drive. Stopped in north las Vegas at the Petro for lunch. It's my usual spot to eat when going through that area. Unless I'm going through Baker ca , then I stop at the Mad Greek. Mad Greek is my favorite food on all of I15.

I was told today by one of the drivers that I have a secret admirer. I knew exactly who he was talking about. His little 4 year old son has to talk to me every time the driver calls. I could hear him in the background yesterday saying, "she's nice daddy, she's a nice lady, I like talking to her". The driver told me what he refers to me as, but it's meaning is "Aunt". I was beaming.

Had to call Freightliner to set up some PM's; one of the drivers came in and told me now he knows how I can get them all in so quickly and get things done. He was at FL while I was talking to them and overheard how I talked to them. All I could do was smile and tell him I always learned you got farther with honey than with vinegar.

Today has been a busy, good day. Tomorrow shouldn't be too bad, and Saturday will hopefully be quiet and peaceful. I'll be the only one in the office working, and I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. Now, I believe it's about time to visit the sheets. I get one less day of sleeping in and taking a nap, and it sounds like hubby wants me to go do the shopping with him on Sunday, so no rest for the wicked then, either.

    G'night all

I am 40 miles from home stuck at a shipper for an early load. Been by the house twice today and could not stop home due to time and HOS. This would not a problem normally but I have been gone for 3 weeks now. I wish my dispatcher had to do dumb stuff like this and not see his little kids. Boo.

Yeah... better take care of that as soon as possible while you can. It's terrible to have tooth ache while on the road.:biggrin_2552: I had some for a while.... One time had to leave truck at truck stop and got a cab to go to closest emergency hospital for an antibiotic prescription for the tooth infection. Kept taking it for a month till I was able to take my week off and go see the dentist. On another occasion took another cab and went to nearest dentist clinic for some X-ray... they were so cool, gave me more antibiotic and didn't charge me anything...:yes2557: But the best was this, I was in NJ and asked my load planer if she could find me a load going to somewhere in IA cause I knew a dentist there at that big truck stop on I-80 and I really needed a root channel done. My load planer was sooooo AWESOME, she was able to find me a load right away and I got the root channel done during my 10 hr break. BTW, that dentist is FANTASTIC! His office is at that I-80 biggest truck stop in IA. It's first come first served. He gives good discounts and does a great fast job. :yes2557:

Had another Walmart store load after my delivery at WM DC in LA today. Seems my company is not getting as many loads from Walmart like it used to be 2 years ago... :biggrin_25513: And we have to fill in the gaps with store loads, which are much more tiresome, time consuming and less profitable. So, not sure what will be tomorrow. All I know is that there will be a load to p/up in Memphis sometime. But doesn't know when or where yet... Now I am parked at the WM parking lot in LA. Tomorrow morning will contact my dispatcher and see if he has the info that I need to give to Walmart dispatcher.... This is another thing... when doing these store loads, we have to work with 2 different systems, two or more dispatchers (my company and Walmart), two sets of paperwork, blah, blah, blah... more work and less money... :biggrin_25513:

Brooklyn, IA. Got stopped in MO today for an inspection. They had me stop on the scale and bring in my paper work. I couldn't believe it and I'm sure all of the drivers behind me were not too happy either.
