They used to only reset with Loaded and Empty Call, could be why it's a bit longer.

There are also a few rolling Hills, and I didn't put my foot down at all. That might be why it averages out pretty low.

Yes the older pre EGR trucks got better mileage. We lost almost a mile per gallon with it. Then DPF cost us bout the same. DEF help get mileage up , but not all the way back! With aero advancements and efficient drive lines, we are getting there. Just would love to see where we could have been if the EPA had left us lone?

That is my little secret. Funny I have been on that route many times as a rookie driver, kinda thought it was boring, went off and explored the rest of the country at 6.1 miles per gallon. If I ever get in a situation where I can pick my loads and lanes that one will be my number 1 go to lane.

in my many years of trucking have learned one thing, when drivers talk about mpg is like talking about a certain part of the body that they make bigger than it really is.

I drive a volvo d13 with 12spd i-shift eco-roll, super singles and a tag axle, and over the course of this past winter ive averaged 8mpg with loads varying between 15k and 44k and some mtns. i travel between 59-66 mph on cruise most of the time. I get a fuel bonus so i eco-roll and im light on the pedal from all stops. When spring and summer hit i expect to be in the 9's

So I got one reallygood Trip per the QC.
With a Light Load and a good Trailer, obviously I must be lying.

I really don't care. It was a Company Truck, company Trailer light load.
I'm no longer with said Company. (Swift).
That was the Best I had ever gotten.

QC isn't generally that acurate for one. If you want accurate mpg, there's only one way to do it.
Pen and Paper (or there's an App for that). Plus for it to be truly Accurate it really needs to be a 15-60 day average. Preferably 30+.

For the ones running Speed Limit in 70+mph States they will never see anything close to those kind of numbers.
Of course that makes the rest of us Liars.
