    Hello all,

Does Freymiller hire recent CDL graduates? I thought I read they only hire with one yr experience.

    Thanks.

Im on my way back to the yard to get my oil changed. I will stop by Vickie's desk and chat with her about it.

You do have to have 1 year experience, but Freymiller does have a select training program for the right students. Call Vickie and ask her about it.

That was back when Florida was having their big citrus canker fiasco. Rest assured that the Florida oj you are drinking is indeed made from FL oranges. Mostly, I pull oj when I'm leaving the house. I've pulled Jasons Deli pickles a couple of times and a Hobby Lobby brokered load out of GA once.

At last check, we have 226 trucks...but they say we are expanding...They always say that. Yes we are reefer.

its too bad freymiller went bankrupt right after i stopped driving in 94, they were getting big back then...they had terminals in backersfield, oklahoma city, and gary , indiana......i was getting a new truck very 3 yrs, though that was changing when i stopped...they were concentrated a lot in the west and northwest, and pulled many loads off the west coast.....i really thought they were the best trucking company i drove for out of the 15 yrs i drove....most of the companys i drove are not around anymore,....they were silvey refrigerated freight out of councill bluffs, ia....donco carriers( they were part of 4 trucking companys, really big, maybe the total of over 1500 trucks, refer...i was shocked to see them go under...must have happen about the same time freymiller went down...

Does freymiller still hall produce from the salina,s valley near san francisco? how about canada? i loaded a few produce loads from there, and grapes out of backersfield...oh....what kind of trucks do they have now, and what engines are they running? when i drove, they had detroits, 400hp in high gear, once you shifted, 360hp....and we ran 62mph , which really sucked....some guys had mechanics run the computers and change the speeds ,,,but freymiller caught on to that..

We run Peterbilt 386's and KW T680's. We have a few 660's left, but they're quickly being replaced. All of the trucks are o/o spec. The 386s are for the solo driver and only have 1 bunk. The 680's are the team trucks and have dual bunks. The 680's are top of the line with auto adjusting seats, integrated GPS/MFD, and a swiveling pax seat, a fold away desk, etc. They all have ISX 425's in them except the newest of the 680's which have the PACCAR MX. The 386's have 8 speeds, and the 680's have 10 speeds. We are all governed at 65, but some will do 67 and others can't get 63. Some of the old timers tell stories of the 78mph days, but those quickly went out the window due to the recession and a dramatic increase in speeding tickets...or so they say.

We do haul some out of Salinas. I hauled a load of broccoli and lettuce out of there about a month ago. The thing with produce is that, like a lot of slaughter houses, it's hurry up and wait...and wait...and wait. Freymiller doesn't want a truck sitting for more than a few hours waiting on a load, so they are picky about those loads. We don't go to Canada or the PNW.
