Yeah. He has a handheld stop sign and orange flag he uses to guide the trucks into the back.

? for May trainer..
if i'm accepted out of cdl school, i've read the test drive is on a 13 speed.
We use a 10 speed at school, there's also a 9 speed.
Will they take that into consideration as i go merrily down the road crunching gears?
What about pre trip? we do one at school, but i'm reading places like Georgia Dot has something like a 130 step list.. Se just get under the hood and push and pull on stuff, check fluids and lights and tires. I do have a list, but it seems way easier to start on one side and work my way around because i can see the belts and wires and stuff...
Thanks

you will use a 13, but you will drive it like its an 8, you wont split the top gears, grind away they know most schools dont use 13's, hes watching to make sure you don't kill someone and know how to drive the truck safely, keeping your eyes open, paying attention to signs, same thing with the skills course, get out and look, as much as you want
pretrip, just a basic pre trip, its all much more relaxed than your CDL test itself. they aren't there to grade you and bust you if you miss something and kick you out -
Thanks. We practice backing and parking in the lot at Goodwill. Troy ( instructor)
says no cones in real life and idiot 4 wheelers cutting thru the lot. Also have a loop we drive thru Ft Worth on the service roads. If you've been thru DFW you know Texas road engineers love overpasses. And around passes. And you gotta go here to get there overpasses and side roads. And changing over 3 lanes on the freeway for your exit. Some day I'd like to drive in a straight line for more than one mile!
I' m really enjoying it tho.
Thanks.
