Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

I hated waiting for the final two three skids to fill up my trailer. Most often those skids where on a truck stuck in traffic. Carrying LTL from Vancouver to the Island you are always watching the clock. A fifteen minute delay could mean missing a ferry, catching a late one, or sometimes even missing the last boat.

 

I tend to get money hungry, the only time I declined work was the day before xmas weekend last year. I walked in and they said no work to two of us, but one guy was late so they gave the senoir guy his card, the senoir man walked in and heard so he asked for a vacation day which he was granted so he wouldnt lose the day. Then everyone wanted to give me their cards so they can go home and use a vacation day... to which I said npe not today, used a personal day... had friday-weds off was GREAT

I take it that YOU are OK there RR? How did it catch fire?

 

I'm guessing the engine started running away on him. No fire but, loud as hell and quite the smoke show.

 

Thought I had a bad day yesterday while on the cross Bronx expwy when some thugs threw rocks at my windshield cracking it pretty good. As soon as I got off that highway I found a safe spot. When I called dispatch they told me swap at the next terminal and even offered me to go home early or get checked by medical too which I didn't need as it was just cracked. Shook me up quite a bit but I just finished the rest of my day and shook it off.

Glad your ok road runner. That seems kinda scary lol.
