I went there a couple weeks ago didn't have any problem, got sent to a customer today that was closed so I lost a 590 mile run for this 210 mile load, and you can bet someone else will get the load I was on tomorrow and run it to Memphis instead of me lol

Drop this one and load up in the AM..... head to Dallas. I have a couple friends there. Maybe a connection? At least an interesting phone call.

Prewitt, NM watching a buzzard flap heavily through the air while waiting to reload to the City of Industry. Thinking to myselfy how this is a really odd place for a paper mill to be constructed. An arid and repulsive desert that has served only one purpose, a barrier against the advance of civilization. This is a land of despair with no inhabitants. As far as the eye can reach stretched a region of desolation, baroness, and inhospitality, and one where nature is never in one mood. Absolutely no movement above the saline alkali covered earth except for the chaparral bushes. Not even a bird in the steel blue sky. Nothing but heart subduing silence. Listen as I may, there is nothing but silence.

Sounds like the prologue of an interesting book....
I love the desert. Interesting wildlife and plant life. Most come out at night. I loved going out and watching it. You can hear nature talk to you if you listen. She has much to say. I just never figured out the translation. But it was beautiful and interesting non the less.Weeman7898 and J_FROG Thank this. -
Been there a few times. But not lately, I often wondered about a mill in the desert...Weeman7898 Thanks this.

Picking up from Mars Petcare going a whopping 150 miles. Night dispatch must not read my Qualcomm messages fully, communication is atrocious.

I've noticed lately that If you dont have close to a full 70 available you will start getting less than ideal loads. Im not sure what the problem is but I know that I have had to call in and question nearly every load for the last 3 week and each time I called in it has resulted in getting a better load. Dispatch just seems to have a problem figuring what type of loads a driver is able to run based on available hours. Now they have started calling me first and asking me if I would be able to run this or that rather than just sending out a bunch of crap.Weeman7898 Thanks this.
