Well, bad news again...another phone bites the dust. I have found a McD's with free WiFi that I can send a quick msg. I will be incognito and MIA for a while...since I don't have the cash to buy a new phone, and all the prepaid phones I can afford don't have internet....I am screwed. I'll try to drop in from time to time, but I doubt it's on a daily basis...so, the mood is spiraling down the drain again.

Snack, just remember your interesting stories and tips have motivated and lifted the spirits of a lot of us. This forum is always the first thing I check when online to read about what other Crete drivers are doing.

As a former crete driver the more i read these posts the more glad i am i no longer work there. I work at interstate and the 4 months i been here i have put 40 thousand on the truck, and been home bout 5 times already and not once have they missed the day i was supposed to be home. I do have a kw though and to be honest, i hate it, prefer a freightliner. But I do have a built in fridge and a 1300 watt power inverter

I wonder what happened to this Crete driver....tucker. As I read through this thread he made some good contributions and then mentioned he was going to Vietnam. It was one of his last posts. Lots of posters just stop posting on here, but was looking forwadd to details on his trip. :biggrin_25525:

it would be nice to have a big inverter, but if I only had 40000 miles in 4 months I wouldn't be happy. since I have been at Crete my average mileage is way more than that. at the end of June I'm sitting at 65000 plus for 2013. July want as good, but I was home for 10 days.

So you say you have 65000 for 4 months or 65000 for 7 months? One is bs and one isn't very good at all.. just saying.. I worked for Shaffer and very few drivers had anything nice or positive to say.. I would do good to hit 9000 a month.. so stick up for crete all you want but not many at all have a dang good thing to say.. look at the post in this thread..

i'm curious too. I have always wanted to visit forbidden countries like Iran or North Korea. I worked overseas as a civilian contractor. But never got to do much sightseeing. I heard about a company which takes exotic trips like that but I wasted all my money on casinos before I could take one of their trips.
