Looking for help from anyone who knows for a fact that a company has per diem. Not interested to know how per diem works, as I already understand that. Nor whether per diem is good or bad. I already know it can be good for some and bad for others. What I am interested in, if anyone can help, is which companies have per diem, CPM or fixed amount, and how much (CPM or flat).

I don't see how it is even remotely legal for a company to force per diem on a driver. I'm gonna have to get with my attorney and look into the legality of it.

Spend the money on a lawyer only to be told it's 100% legal if you feel the need to waste the money. A quick phone call to the IRS or a few minutes reviewing their website and per diem regulations will get you the same answer. That dead horse has been beat to the point of there being nothing left, not even the chalk outline. If you don't want to be paid forced per diem then find someplace else to work.

the problem with per deim, is that when you try to take a loan, out , the bank or loan company looks at the wages your w-2 says you made. And of course it's going to show the true amount of what you took home, so don't be surprise when the loan is not approved.
Also it affects your social security.
Also watch out some companies including Marten will charge an additional 'admistrative fee of 2- 3 cents per mile. They are making millons each week off their drivers.
One reason I left that piss ant company.
