The only thing specific to Oxnard is our floral division. Reefers, mostly teams, and not dedicated or regional per say except for a few guys that run out of Portland OR up to Canada and back.

The entire Reefer fleet pulls from the floral pool of freight. As I said its nearly entirely team freight. Very rare solo loads.
There maybe more but I've only met two drivers out of WA that pull dedicated floral loads between Canada and Portland Or.
99.9% chance you would have to pull other stuff first before being considered for anything dedicated in Floral. Better chance if you are a team driver. (Prime will not actively find you a teammate. Unless you bring your own teamate with you, Your pretty much on your own finding one within the company) -

Are there any solo dedicated runs in the northwest at all? Looking at prime but want to get some details before I submit a app. Also how is the flatbed workload for the northwest?

I'm wondering if all TNT trainers are LeaseOps or if company drivers can do TNT training as well. My current instructor for the PSD phase is a LeaseOp and I gather that everyone under his same Fleet Manager are as well. I imagine that if I ask for a new trainer after obtaining my CDL, I'll likely be paired with another Lease Operator off the same board.
I have no intentions of going LeaseOp and I would rather learn the company driver way of doing things rather than the log cheating and home avoiding that is apparently required to have a profitable business in the lease program. Like today, I spent all day on the pad and driving around Springfield practicing for the CDL test and I was logged off duty for all of it. This will give Bossman a fresh set of hours to work with in a few days when we hit the road as a team.
So am I stuck with the LeaseOp way of life until I go for my upgrade? -
BTW. Not much of a go getter attitude. So what if he wants a fresh clock. You want a nice terminal vacation? I few days to kick your feet up? He is making ZERO dollars taking the day off to practice.
The alternative would have been to keep you out on the road, making money and setup the cones in a parking lot. -
My tnt trainer goes home every month for almost a week and sometimes longer. He does pretty good and never goes in the hole really.

And im curious to know what the difference in training would be with a company or lease op? Shouldnt it be the same? How can you cheat the clock with quail com? Driving on the students time? Driving on off duty driving? They shoukdnt be doing that anyway.

Sorry if I'm whining. I'll most certainly suck it up and just deal with it, but I was just curious of my options.
