Just as another data point / FYI. We are getting an unusually high amount of GPS signal outage calls here this week too. Not related to any particular brand either. There is no way that I can say it is related to your particular one or not. But, just info for those reading...

My 720 is acting strange (when I set it to heading north it won't change) I'm thinking about doing a factory reset. My question is what changes and what doesn't? Will I lose my address book? Odometer/mileage?

With reset button on back of unit just clears out the memory nothing gets lost. If u set unit to map zoom on county scale it should keep u'r heading properly.

I need to know who to contact about my 710,I had it over a year and a half,it has been serviced well over 8 time,it worked good for about 7 months and now it's dead again,I have contacted support and they say they can't do nothing,I have also talked to the sales and all I get is "You can upgrade to the 720 for $250,yet that is the trade in deal,I feel so much like I got ripped off,I paid around $400 do the unit and whenever it was sent away took about 2 to 3 weeks before I got it back,if anyone know who to contact please let me know I at this point will NEVER buy a RM product again, even the trucker maps!!

my TND 500 worked fine for 1.5 years,, then I didn't use it for over a year,, used it again for a vacation trip and worked fine,, now before going back to drive the truck,, I find out,, that the touchscreen is not working properly,, cant get through the menu,, some tap work on fingerklick,, others don't,, "back" button don't get me out... ect........ just a mess,, I am unlucky with all GPS,,, had 2 garmins,, both worked for about a year and started to freeze up,, even the configuration with the DOT point couldn't fix the problem,, and now the randmcnally also don't do the job on a longer term....... try to call randmcnally tomorrow and see, if they can fix it.. today updated program, maps online,, also did functionality check online where 317 files got checked,, no error,,, all seem to be fine,, exept the touchscreen.....

Back again. Lost my other computer on the last MS update two weeks ago. Took about 4 days to rebuild and recover Outlook also. GATS was last week. Think I am caught up now.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I am working with another driver that looses miles on his 720. He has the older Peoplenet. So, I suspect it might be interferrence between the two devices.

I tested his 720 along with his Mi-Fi and did not loose any mileage.

    Thanks,
    Mark
