    Let me check my logbook

We emptied out Sunday, picked up Tuesday, dropped in Louisville yesterday, picked up in Carlisle, OH yesterday, dropped in Sheboygan WI today, and are now home until Monday . . . when we aren't running errands and doing some other things we need to do. We'll be back down there again once the spuds are running out of WI for Harlingen again, since the stuff that is left farther south isn't paying well enough to make it worth it.

Called the office today and asked about the "escrow" they pull out of my checks. Had been told a PS pump was going to cost $109.99. Asked dispatch when I got the check and got the part should I take it home and install it. He suggested letting the mechanic do it. Mechanic got a pump delivered for $64.55. Can't beat that! Got done just in time for me to hurry back up to the airport area, grab the trailer and tote some stuff to the airlines. But one place wouldn't take Haz Mat after 5pm. Was able to get it on the truck and will take it in the morning.

Dispatcher said he'd get me something extra for delivering Saturday. Nice of him to be thinking of me!

Especially since I was told I was getting 4pc and they added 7 more on that same ticket! Cheating me out of money!

Once again...Gresham, OR.......the good part, it is peaceful and quiet, doesn't stink of pee, no diesel idling next to me....and a nice breeze off the Columbia!

Plus...they have coffee and donuts waiting after they knock on the door!:biggrin_255:

You can't be serious, they come knock on your door to let you know fresh coffee and doughnuts are ready?:biggrin_2551: Bet the bears (2-legged kind) don't know about this. If so that place would be crawling with them. :biggrin_2559:

Was suppose to move into a newer truck this weekend. However that got nixed by dispatch. He sent me out west after dumping the salt in KCMO. Any time we get sent west on a Friday, that means some sort of pre-load coming back to the yard. Yep, I'm pre-loaded with salt to go right back to KCMO on Tuesday. That's right, Tuesday, since Monday is one of the few holidays we don't work. Ironic, Labor Day and we don't labor..:biggrin_2559: But back to the newer truck, by not having to move into it, is a good thing. I don't have to work on a weekend, a holiday weekend, and get our special weekend/holiday pay... $0.00 per hour. So now I suppose he'll want me to do it next weekend. Well that's not going to happen. It's the weekend we have our granddaughter, AND the local LEO/FD/Water-Rescue/Fishy-Game (or is it gamey fish) actually Wildlife and Parks, host what's called OK Kids. It's at the local reservoir, and we will be camping there so granddaughter can get in on all the activities. This is such a popular event, that the camping spots are reserved months in advance.

An old gasser ain't the WORST way to travel....
But then my Dodge can get over 20mpg on the highway.
ANY gasser pickup I can remember does well to get 16-18.
    I can't deliver before 9 this morning.

After getting loaded right at 17:00 so I got to leave downtown Chicago right at Rush Hour and slog my way at 5 mph and then hit the suburbs and a torrential downpour so traffic came to a halt again and then another torrential downpour as you go from 2 lanes to 1 at Rockford, you may be right. :biggrin_2552:
