Hey everyone,I've been doing as much research as I could but could not an answer.
Question is,when applying for a job ,do I need to state tickets in the state for which I am applying for or overall?
Im planning to start school on the 16th and actually head out to odessa/midland in hopes of making some real money. Last ticket I received was in July of last year ,which since then has been dismissed through an attorney. It was for 35 on a 25. Before then I can't really recall the exact ticket reason, but it was when I went down on my motorcycle back in Jan 0f '11 in New mexico.I wish I could remember if it was for a moving violation, but one was for driving w/o insurance.Thats it in the last 3 yrs. So do I mention those or just the texas ticket? Any answers/advice greatly appreciated!!![]()

Your MVR will state all tickets you've received from all states. Be honest. They will find out.
mje and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -

I know that in canada If you got a driving without insurance it will show up when the company tries to insure you. odds are they will probably tell you that they cannot employ you because the insurance company will not allow it. driving without insurance makes you high risk for life. You should probably ask a lawyer or a company Safety Representative if you can even be employed after having a driving with no insurance. Sorry for the bad news man.

In Georgia anything below 14 mph wont show on your record. Get a copy of your mvr and don't put anything on your app that's not on your mvr.

I'm with rodnocker on this one.
Moving violations and alcohol and drug related are the biggies.
And I'm reminded that too much information is not a good thing to offer employers. -
Go to your local DMV / BMV and request your abstract for your current state and report everything recorded there.
You will likely be asked about any other licenses you've held in the past ten years as well, be as truthful as you can.
The main point is... if there is something significant out there it will likely be found at some point.Last edited: Sep 5, 2013
