At the Troutdale terminal. Except for the goofy fuel lanes this place is layed out nice. Much more room than I was lead to believe.
Today's delivery was a nightmare! First stop took over 3 1/2 hours AND they forgot part of their load! I found this out at the final stop. Swift was no help at all so I called the first stop and arranged to get them to pick it up at the final stop.
On my way to Salt Lake City with a load of mattresses, delivers Friday morning. -
Loveland Co...johnsons corner...this whole area is messed up!...traffic is horrible with all the road closures...hard to get around this area...AVOID IF YOU CAN...but there does seem to be freight here....getting preplans....

Pilot Klamath Falls
Nice light load, its 3700 lbs and im hauling tubular skylights to a home depot in Salem, got 260 miles left to drive in the morning. Anyone been in Oregon around that area lately and know how the freight is right now?
A knight driver decided to piss me off today, was stuck behind him for over 50 miles with no passing lanes and he kept speeding up and slowing down nonstop, I could not set my cruise at all, dont know if he was being a jerk or just cant hold a constant speed and has never heard of cruise. -

I don't care how fast or how slow they go, as long as it's a consistent speed. Really like the ones that have been going 59 or 60 for many many miles getting passed by everyone, but let a Swifty get to their door and fuel economy running is a thing of the past! -

Most of the time I would just back 'er down to about 48 miles per hour for a couple miles and let the space build up then bring it back on up to about 56 miles per hour for a couple more miles and settle in. If it is one of those 'gotta go 65' runs, I might dig in the spurs and jack it up to 69 miles per hour and scoot on ahead of the guy.
As far as merging goes, I have been trying to dispute and rebut a false accusaton that I ran someone off the road in mid June. The Negative Road Report against me says the incident happened in Indiana on such and such a date/time. My logs reflect I was in Tacoma Washington at that time. Swift policy is to immediately assess a Risk Assessment point against the driver right away and time/weight it by 4 meaning I get 4 negative points for this report regardless of proof. The next step is to get a rebuttal form, fill it out and fax it to the relevant person in Phoenix. I was told chances are only 50/50 that they will remove the points and negative report regardless and despite proof I wasn't even there. -

Ashtabula, OH. Del down in Morgantown, NC tomorrow at 1700 then over to Browns Summit to pu P&G for MS on Sun at 1140 del. Was sent one pplan that had me del to SC tomorrow and refused, reason, not getting in that area on a Fri and not running the SE. Then sent this load with the back up heading out of the SE. Just as I showed up to pu this one, received a msg that pplan was removed since the computer said that I could not make Sun del on time. I figure 1300 miles between 0500 Friday morning and 1140 Sunday morning. At 60 mph, 22 hours. Told my DM, this is why getting ready to leave. Tired of the games. He did good, got it back on me. Do not need to pu pplan until about 0800 on Sat, and I really think that I can get 711 miles after that by 1140 on Sun.
