Just ignore him. He's one of the "special" people Stevens hired recently.

LOL Dryver as it happens, the trainer enjoys all forms of football. Chatter is just my way of retribution for all the no name college games my ears have had to endure this month.
disco, I'm headed there too. Apparently the road to Dallas is thru Cedar Falls...for me anyway. Supposed to be there Friday afternoon.

Fozzy, evidently you have very little knowledge on the subject of diabetes. Blood sugar can be checked at any point during the day and at any point before or after eating. There are different levels of readings based on when you last ate. Like them or not, Stevens medical staff are VERY COMPETENT in their jobs & they do know a bit more than the layperson who has only collected a small amount of knowledge based on knowing someone that has this or that condition or has the condition themselves. I have several family members with diabetes, have had extensive medical training (just short of having a nursing certificate). I diagnosed my husband's diabetes about a year and a half before it was diagnosed by the doctor. It became full-blown while I was in Dallas for my CDL training with Stevens, I got back on the truck & he was constantly thirsty. We stopped at the next Walmart, I bought a glucose meter, tested his blood (over 300), and put him on a diabetic diet. He passed his next physical with no problem, but the one the year after was when his 'pee' test showed sugar 'spilling' into his urine. He was put on medication at that point. As Corporal Clegg says, the A1C test (which is ALWAYS done if the preliminary finger stick shows high) gives a 3 month average which is a proof-positive test to show diabetes.

Sorry if I sound a little 'short' but it really irritates me when your average 'Joe' thinks they know more than what the trained professionals do.

Now I will get off my soap box.

Oh, and Emu, the reason they didn't check your sugar is because your urine tested out OK.

I am bored and Bosselmans is no longer entertaining since they wont let me take the aliens out of their cages and play with them. Apparently climbing on the entrance and playing with nessie is also frowned upon.

Trainer says we will be stopping for break tonite at a casino. If i win, it was nice meetin yall lol

    Moar confusion!!!!!
I get woken up this morning by Jill telling me to "contact dispatch, there has been a change in your load"...
    Joys of joys.
Upon calling dispatch, I find my load has been taken away and reassigned because I was left on breakdown status.

I was initially pissed, but the load I got will work out ok.
Frozen load from Santa Maria to Cedar Rapids. Single pick. 2250 miles due to avoiding Winter Storm Atlas, 225 more than the other load.
Even the fact this load picks tomorrow isn't too bad, as the appointment they made for the other load's 2nd pick was for 2100, 12 hours after the 1st.
Now I'm just hoping the shop doesn't notice my truck just clicked over 300k... I don't wanna see a shop for a while.

PS- this is my 100th post! What did I win?
