I went after one of those loads, but they won't load a stepdeck some some reason. They loaded me last time. There is a load of HUMVEES coming out of Springfield, Il. but it's a bit too far to deadhead. I would be at $1 a mile lol
Be sure to stop at the Cloverdale truckstop off I70. Good food and hot showers. Massage and happy ending are upstairs lol
That recycling yard in Bedford in a real pita to find. -
They loaded me and I'm a step. But I called the agent (Indy) directly and got the load booked. Yes the first time in bedford can be little tricky but I've been there a few times. Today there was nine of us pulled in at a time. Sure glad I was first in line.
Went right by the the Cloverdale TS. Don't really care for the place and the shower is hotter in my truck. Didn't know they had massage though. That would be sweet. -
So your getting one of the John Deere loads. They usually pay good for the area.

Them loading your step kinda pisses me off. My coordinator booked me, but the agent kicked out my step, Said they were only loading flats -
Do you make call directly to the agents?
Do you got the list of agent phone numbers?
I'm just trying to figure out why your having problems, not trying to pick at you. -
I have a list of the agents. I guess I should have called the agent -
Though they were booked by the Indy agent and he's quite a jerk. Kinda surprised he changed it for me.
I would suggest booking your loads yourself and calling the agents directly if you have questions or think the load is going to go quick.
Try to think of your coodinator as an assistant not as your so dispacther unless you want him to take loads without asking.
Most of the guys that do well here, tends to book most of their loads themselves not through their coodinator.
My coodinator knew nothing of this load, till I was dispatched on it.
When I see a load I want, I commit to it immediately and if I can't, I call the agent directly.
Hope this helps
If you still have trouble, give me a call or PM and I might be able to give you couple other little tricks that helps somethings -

Would any of you guys take the load from Story City, IA to McCamey, TX? DH miles will be zero and I think I can unload then reload at the same company.
My judgement says "no" unless the agent can put some more miles on the run.
